RE: Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 6 - Arioch - 08-21-2017 Only one more episode for this season But it's 81 minutes long, so...
RE: Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 6 - Venkman - 08-21-2017 When the dead grabbed Tormund I was like - pls no, not him pls. But Clegane was a bro and saved him. Good s*it good s*it. RE: Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 6 - Durandal - 08-23-2017 I'm honestly not too happy with the latest season. This particular problem was beginning to rear its head in Season 6, but we're seeing it in full force now. The acting is still great, the writing (in terms of dialogue) is the usual GoT fare, which is to say excellent, and the action sequences are absolutely stunning. So what went wrong? The writing, in terms of the overarching storyline. Things are happening far too fast, and its quite evident to me that they could've (and probably should've) done three more full ten episode seasons, rather than condensing the end of the tale into two shorter ones. Sure, some of this can be handily explained away with dragon riding, but how on god's green miserable, freezing Westeros did Varys make it to Dorne and then back to Mereen at the end of season six? How did the unsullied 'sail' to Casterly Rock, which is on the other side of the bloody continent? How did the Suicide Squad Jon, Clegane, Jorah, Thoros, Beric, and Gendry manage to make it from Dragonstone to the wall in a single episode!? I can only suspend my disbelief so far, and no matter what way I try to justify it I can't think of a good reason for why they've chosen to condense so much content into so few episodes. [/rant] |
