with regard to developing and research,
Kishiro designs ships right? well im afraid the only thing you can do is learn how to mod, and make new ships for KNF and Kishiro. like AoM who RP's the Corsair ship designer at Tripoli.

And in addition to that, what they may have in mind for Kishiro to be in future?

Okay I took some time to think of it...
I was having difficulty thinking of how GMG can help that isn't trading.
I had almost said we need commodities.
I almost said we'll join you in getting lane parts etc.. to fix our lanes.
Still both just trading, than an idea hit me.
Field a few Repair Ships and help us in the Sigmas, that'll fit in Kishiros role for being GMG's technical help.

Now that is actually a really good one.... fielding several repair vessels with escorts would be welcomed.

It would help in a PvP situation with keeping the group lasting longer and as RP situations we always need Naha repaired, darn thing keeps getting shot up heheh.
Having a couple of the "Priests/Healers" of Disco helping us would be handy.
