You dont have to link to your Steam account in any case! Just go to Humble site, create free account there and then select email to which they will send Keys to game. You dont even have to select real email to recive Keys.
I have couple of emails to which i can recive multiple Keys, all of them have false personal info.
Once you get Keys, simple copy/paste Keys in your activate product in Steam library, and thats all, no need to link anything, becouse Steam dont care from where did you get key, as long it is legit key. I have hundreds of games i have received this way without paying single penny.

ive just done it took seconds
go onto humble bumble (create account if not already done so)
click on the game, add to check out, goto checkout, claim game, (scroll down and itll send you the key to your email you registered with)
go into steam, goto redeem steam game, copy paste code from email
done
no risk, never had an issue
