RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - Jack_Henderson - 12-03-2017 Very demanding on PC. Worth getting now? It's an Alpha. Alpha 3.0, they are bughunting. Playable, yet still pretty annoying. The basic thought is the one I wrote in IMG CHannel a few minutes ago: Guys, in case you... > want to join Star Citizen at any time (now, soon, later) > and you do not have a GAME PACKAGE yet > you could get the EVENT STARTER PACK at a reduced price now. > Advantages of getting it now during the anniversary sale: + 60 month insurance (you blow up, you pay nothing for 60 months - death will cost you in SC) + cheap price compared to standard price (I paid a lot more with a lot less insurance) + the cheap start ship can be upgraded to e.g. a money maker that keeps the 60 months insurance Link: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/16263-Discount-Starters-Anniversary-Special-Sale Don't forget to use a REFERRAL CODE when making a Star Citizen account to get additional 5000 credits on your starter ship. Code: STAR-YWXN-QDFP And... you should definitely join Just saying.
RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - Nepotu - 12-03-2017 I've just bought the Mustang EVENT STARTER PACK(didn't have more money to spend) cuz I saw you guys are there. I think I'll join you soon. See you in space! RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - Jack_Henderson - 12-03-2017 nice! RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - Sand-Viper - 12-03-2017 I'd say now is the time to pick the game up on the cheap. 35 USD (29.5 Euros according to Google) gets you full access to the Alpha, as well as the full game once it launches. I anticipate the game will be fully worth playing once version 3.0 of the Alpha comes out, which should be in 1-3 months. 3.0 is when planetary exploration comes out! The two lowest price starter packages offer the Mustang and the Aurora. Pick an Aurora if you want: +Good all around stability. The RSI Aurora is a very beginner friendly vessel to fly, and is very forgiving of flight mistakes. +Excellent durability. Good armor combined with a smaller than average size allows you to keep up with the pros. +Superb visibility. The cockpit view lets you see all around you! +A simple, flat, get-the-job-done aesthetic. +BONUS: The current package Aurora is the Luxury Variant, which is NOT available any other time of the year. It comes with a leather seat (woo?) and more importantly, a 4-missile pylon mount standard, something the Mustang package lacks as standard. +/-Fixed mount lasers. Guns will only fire where the ship is pointed. This is actually not such a bad thing in Star Citizen, and I personally prefer fixed-mount weapons. Pick a Mustang if you want: +A low stability, high maneuverability vessel. The Mustang is a Risk = Reward ship, which will likely appeal to higher skill cap players who have time to spend mastering their ship. +Somewhat lower durability, but around the same size as the Aurora with an odd shape with gaps for lasers to pass through. +Gimbaled lasers! These work like Freelancer guns, in that they have a forward arc. The Mustang's standard gimbal mount is actually more like a front-facing turret, allowing for a very wide firing arc. +Higher "impulse speed" than the Aurora. +A sleek racer-style aesthetic. As for minimum system requirements: Windows 7 (64 bit) – Service Pack 1, Windows 8 (64 bit), Windows 10 – Anniversary Update (64 bit) DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM Quad core CPU 8GB Memory The coolest thing about Star Citizen is that it will be more than a space ship game. You will be able to fly down onto planets, land your ship, walk around on-foot, and make use of land vehicles on a planet's surface. There is also a First-Person Shooter aspect of the game, as well. Someone who is an Ace Pilot may be a poor foot soldier, and vice versa. Death is a real risk in this game, and Freelancer's problem of players that say "Kill me, it's faster and I lose less than paying you" will be far less of a thing when your character can actually die. Granted, taking a head-shot doesn't mean you automatically die, as medical technology is far more advanced in the 30th century. But, the game will feature a hidden "lives" counter, and when it hits 0, it's Game Over for that character. Cooperating with pirates and law enforcement will be in your best interest, as will having friends or hired help when setting foot into independent or lawless systems. Ship boarding, stealth technology, weapons meant to disable rather than kill - All of these features are a part of the game already, and more is being added with each major patch. To quote a popular saying, it truly is the Best Damn Space Sim Ever! RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - HappyKiller911 - 12-03-2017 I have to have this game! RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - TheShooter36 - 09-03-2018 Just a heads up. Now IMG owns a Hull-E which is biggest Cargo ship in the game. Think it akin to old Barge! And we are also owning a Repair Ship named Crucible means we are set for fringe sectors shenanigans! We can carry lots of stuff, Repair our ships, Refuel our ships and we are about to even have a mobile base ship called Kraken! We also have a rather decent sized security and exploration wings! This gonna be fun RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - evanz - 09-03-2018 someone donate me the cash for the game and ill rejoin img there RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - Jack_Henderson - 09-03-2018 (09-03-2018, 05:17 PM)TheShooter36 Wrote: Just a heads up. Hauling and transporting will be taken to a completely different level with these monsters! RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - NoMe - 09-04-2018 it seems a bit complicated, i need to learn more. i will pass for now by the star citizen fr forum to try to understand how it works. RE: IMG is in Star Citizen - Interested in being part of it? - TheShooter36 - 06-07-2019 Time for GRAVEDIGGING! We are still alive and kicking folks! Recently we are doing alot of Star Marine and competing in leaderboard hard, Clyde, Jack, I and some others carry us in Star Marine (FPS Combat) while I am leading the Arena Commander(Fighter/small ship Combat) side of things as usual! We and as a side effect, our fleets got even bigger! We even own the pinnacle of Origin lineup, the 890J now, and soon to become not only one, but TWO of those beasts! |
