Trade runs that don't step on toes... - Reverend Del - 01-24-2009

I'll teach you a run.

Boron to LD14 (Good profit)
MOX to Malta (Good Profit)
Cardi to Nuremburg (Excellent profit)
Prsioners to the New Berlin (Okay profit)
H-Fuel to the Ring (1 credit profit per unit, but you never run empty)
Cobalt to Honshu (Because diamonds are for the weak)
Plutonium to Mull base (Best single profit in Sirius)
Gold to either Cape Wrath or Manhattan (To Wrath it's a small profit, to Manhattan it's a Good profit)
If you take Gold to Cape Wrath then you take Cardi to Beaumont (Good Profit)
Take Diamonds to the Manhattan (To annoy the lawfuls)

This run takes a while but the profits it makes are astounding.

well, i use the hardly known outcast route, not going to explain too much but i make between 11-12 mil each run, that is a two step run. so, in the three days i did it i had made almost 700 million credits but, that is three days of trading for about 6-8 hours each day

Quote: There are several two-stop routes, but since I despise them I won't reveal any except for this one, which is moderately profitable : Optronics from Planet Honshu to Planet Cambridge, VIPS from Planet Cambridge to Planet Honshu. Just make sure you don't get blown up carrying VIPS, because that will cost you a lot of credits.

I REALLY wouldn't recommend this one. First, you'll have to get from Cambridge to the tau-31 gate without the BAF realising you're going that way, then you'll have to deal with potential pirates in the Taus, then even when you get to kusari you could get attacked by the BAF privateers, then on the way back, it's the same thing all over again only when the BAF see you carrying something like optronics through the tau-31 gate, they'll know where you are coming from and so either tax you very heavily (by which I mean 5 million) for "trading with the enemy" or just destroy your ship. "Don't you know there's a war on??!"

and that sircian is why trade routes should be sent over PMs or through massages in game and not on the public forums, wouldnt want the government or the pirates getting wind of you're routes;)

2 stop-runs are boring. I prefer a long run; u can switch from one run to another at some stations, I dont like to see everything the same.

There are plenty of short routes that make decent money too, and with a large chance of encounter as well.

Trenton (Boron) > LD-14 (MOX) > Stokes (Beryllium) > Trenton

Cambridge (Water) > Cardiff (Beryllium) > Ring (Engines) > Cambridge

Cambridge (Lux Food) > Denver (SuperConductors) > Honshu (Optronics) > Ring (Engines) > Cambridge

New London (Lux Food) > Manhatten (Lux Goods) > New London

These are just a few that I run. I've retired one trader with over 1b credits (not including donations to factions and transfers) and have another 750m on another, trading 3-5 hours a week. It helps to have lots of different routes to keep things fresh.
