All existing Firestalker.Drone ships will be de-tagged and the tag itself has been locked and requested to be added to the tracker. Existing members will be compensated for the rename cost to re-apply the tags. The most recent of which was a dual gattling drone that successfully played both sides of a fight. Keep it up. RE: Firestalker Drones - [Feedback/Recruitment] [Recruitment Changes] - Firestalker Drones - 04-01-2018 Software patch update Nr 7. * Drones do not accept contracts until after they have finished their two lines of presentation jingle, usually in the form of ''____ drone for hire'' and ''Please enter target name and bounty amount''. This should allow both sides of a fight to prepare the contract request. * Drones that are on contract will display their red docking lights as on. * Drones will not accept contracts that are broadcasted on System channel, unless the issuer is in scanning range. Changes are now reflected in the ''Drone hiring specifics and quirks'' section of the writeup post. Two more drone types have been added to post #2 RE: Firestalker Drones - [Feedback/Recruitment/QnA] - Firestalker Drones - 04-04-2018 Adjustments have been made to the first post regarding to recruitment and loadout limitations as well as hiring regulations. It should also be noted here that the Firestalker Drones are incapable of working with Blanket bounties and forum-posted bounties. For the forseeable future they will be limited to taking contracts only directly from players ingame, where both parties are on the scanner, so to speak. It should also be noted that they are physically incapable of communicating with nomads, nor AI or other non-human characters. The group has also been added to the activity tracker. We would like to hear more feedback regarding the nature of the encounters you have had so far and suggestions for improvements. Questions and answers will also be provided. If enough interest is taken in the faction, the Firestalker Drones may shoot for officialdom in the distant future once it goes through its teething phase. RE: Firestalker Drones - [Feedback/Recruitment/QnA] - Sand-Viper - 04-05-2018 I've yet to run into one of these Drones myself, but the recent Drone Manual 1.1 post has me fully prepared to hire them properly once I do! I really like the concept of an openly usable set of "mercenary" drones. I just hope I'm quick on the hiring draw if I happen to walk into a firefight! xD I actually bumped into a Firestalker Drone group a few years ago. Back then, I don't think the restriction of "Both the contractor and the target must be within radar range" was in place. I will say that I fully support that restriction, so as to prevent a sudden swam of drones happening upon an unsuspecting target. I think the thing I like most is the prospect of being able to "ninja" a drone that's been opened up for hire again for your side, if it was previously shooting you. "Now the shoe is on the other foot!" so to speak. Anyways, yeah. Thumbs up and hoping to meet ya'll in-game soon! RE: Firestalker Drones - [Feedback/Recruitment/QnA] - Firestalker Drones - 04-05-2018 There are two main things we are trying to do here. First of all it is the display of ''true'' neutrality, where the drones engage both sides and cannot into self-defense if attacked without being hired. Secondly is roleplay via action. Since the amount of written RP is minimal, you will instead be able to see the drones RP around you just by movement alone. Even if it is just following you around silently, or a repair staying right above your capital ship in standby mode, moving in circles.
