Common misconception - you're always GMT+1 because GMT also changes when CET does. What you meant is UTC+1 (winter), UTC+2(summer). GMT isn't used anymore as a reference, UTC is.

nope, GMT stays the same, the countries that use it just switch to BST/WEST/etc.
