His grades wasnt high enogth to get a high officer rank, but thanks to diligence and assertiveness he rose to warrant officer in Militsiya and filed for officer courses. After training in Academy on Zvezdniy Gorodok received the admission to command the gunboats and destroyers, and was appointed captain of the XKR-EV-Zero "Storm" Mark-X named Derzky. During his service, he received a description of himself as an enterprising and courageous, but insufficiently prudent officer.
