I'm getting spam messages in Skype pretty much every day. Not to mention that interface became horrible in 2014.

In all honesty I jump back to Skype to check for anything regarding me in the OFL chat, that's about it. Otherwise I only use discord.

Pretty sure the only Skype chats I'm in at this one are some dev chats and the former Broken Bonds dev chat turned Fallout 4/Kerbal Space Program insanity chamber.
Discord has otherwise completely supplanted TeamSpeak/Mumble/Skype and almost supplanted IRC for me as well.

I really dislike Discord, all the relevant people I can reach on Skype and I don't see any point in switching myself, personally.
If people want to switch, go ahead and let them. That just means having 2 chat programs instead of one, since there's a number of people who dislike the alternative to Skype even more.
