The Firefly's not exclusively a smuggling ship! In fact, check out the bolded portion of the infocard:

I still don't think it's the best choice, but since Bretonia and Liberty are on such good terms with each other it shouldn't be a problem.

A lot of Slavik's intel is off, sad to say, but the spirit of what he's trying to say stands.
I suggest you folks take a second to re-consider a lot of the information that you're putting out... I say this with a twinge of jealousy as I've been considering the possibility of opening up a Uni shipping faction to serve as a newbie friendly front, to which end I would be more than happy to give you guys a bit of help on your front presentation.
To give you a spoiler: Rip out practically everything associated with the military and shove in civilian stuff. Flashpoints and Eagles are the way to go.
As it stands, this gets the frowny face of "not quite up to snuff" from me.

If I remember correctly, Universal kicks some cash, supplies, as well as political support to the Xenos. In return for that, Xenos don't bother Universal shipping convoys.
Something to keep in mind when you're working on your diplomacy. It would be a shame to lose out on such a good RP opportunity.

Stinger - X8S "Stinger" Civilian Very Heavy Fighter - The name speaks for itself.
Tiger shark - X4TS "Tiger Shark" Civilian Light Fighter - same as the Stinger
Raven claw - "Initially developed by Kishiro Technologies" - also, the name is "assault fighter", not "Liberty assault fighter".
Ravens talon - "Raven's Talon was designed by Independent Miners Guild for commercial purposes." - we are are a company, and are interested in buying them.
Viper mk2 - Zoners are interested in profit. We like their ship.
Zoner weapons - Zoner weapons are widely used by non-Zoner factions. Why is that, I don't know exactly. If others can use them, I see no reason why we couldn't.
We will remove the Taiidan bomber. Also, we will maybe remove the Bretonia guns.

Firefly - not necessarily a smugglers-only ship, but it's a bretonian not liberty ship.
Stinger - the Readme is a basic description. The Stinger is in fact a Kusari Civilian ship.
Tiger Shark - again, readme issue here. A Rheinland Civilian ship.
Raven Claw - initially developed by KT, it is an LSF special ops ship now. Next version, it's becoming the Phantom fighter, so you may as well remove it to save yourself the hassle later on.
Raven's Talon - It was designed by the IMG for commercial purposes, now it's a black market fighter.
Viper MkII - I don't know exactly, but I believe this is becoming IMG only next version.
Zoner weapons - The reason why you shouldn't is because you're a Liberty corporation. Just because others do things which aren't right, doesn't mean you should. Take this as an opportunity to shine above other proposals and stick to Liberty and generic only stuff.a
Eagles and other CT line ships with civilian and Liberty weapons would do fine in escort operations. There is no need to use all the other fighters in the readme.

The Virage should be added to the ship list (it says the origin of the ship is unknown).
Xenos should be added as neutral.
Firefly should be removed.
Raven claw should be removed (Phantom ship).
White Tigers should be added as allied/friendly.
Bretonia weapons should be removed.
Tiger shark should be removed.
Mammoth should be added.
