A cause of lag - Colm Cillian - 09-26-2006 liberty police vs rouges i was in a starflier and defender against wolfhounds is was an assination Spa and cruise vs hacker in cortez in a barracuda fightings against hackers elemenation mission. A cause of lag - DarkOddity - 09-26-2006 I'll make sure to note those in the future! A cause of lag - Teaboy - 09-26-2006 it doesn't matter igiss, they ALL cause lag :D We've had people here posting they had lag in missions with : outcasts, xenos, rogues, bounty hunters, hackers.... A cause of lag - Nightfall - 09-26-2006 Hmm... for me it was pretty much on all types of missions (there were a lot of missions without having lag) as for factions -- Interspace, Hackers and Outcasts in my case. A cause of lag - caylith - 09-26-2006 I had been taking missions for the Xenos, Corsairs and Outcasts against the BH's and House Police. I don't know about what types of missions they were (tractor loot, assasinate or kill ships) but I started to choose the quicker missions in hopes that I could get there quick enough and get it over with before the lag came in. A cause of lag - Igiss - 09-26-2006 Any special lag with missions that involve space station destruction or weapon platforms? Cause these items tend to generate server errors that are being logged, but unfortunately Discovery is one of the mods for which this problem can't be solved (or can be, but with ways unknown). A cause of lag - caylith - 09-26-2006 For me I don't recall lag coming about just when I had to destroy installations or weapons platforms. It seemed to happen with just about every mission I took there for awhile and i'd say "This is my last mission, too much lag and I ending up with less money than I started!" But then I realized I needed the money to start the characters and kept doing them. Maybe others were of the same mind. If I wasn't taking a mission with bases/weapons platforms, surely someone else must have been doing so at the same time. The missions taken in Gamma, Alpha and Magellan had a lot of lag. But when I was taking the missions in Colorado and formed in a group with 4 others Phantoms, there was no lag... don't know if that helps. A cause of lag - romer - 09-26-2006 I can tell you that I suffered no lag taking missions from Barrow Base in Hudson for the Xenos. All the missions that I took were kill ship. However, as I said before this was just after a server restart. A bit of lag was encountered taking kill ships missions from Ooray in Colorado. Especially ones that led into New York. A cause of lag - Vo - 09-26-2006 I thought that only happened in NY. I was in my starblazer, and whapah! Lag for about 10 minutes, I eventually had to close FL, but I was on my Bounty hunter cruiser, and I took a mission, lag started, I won the mission, but the lag NEVER STOPPED! I loged off for the rest of that day. (This all ocured PPW or Pre-Player-Whipe) A cause of lag - Fellow Hoodlum - 09-26-2006 Just had a reasonably long session trading, with most other players doing the same thing, so pretty sure no missions where being taken. Anyone else on at this time, if you would like to give your movements please. Almost no lag whatsoever, a couple of splashes of yellow appeared, but no problems relating to them occured. Hoodlum |
