RE: Underspace - Egon Bigmemes - 07-21-2019

It's ironic people think Pastaspace/Trainwiz is incapable of his own creativity, considering his popularity for creating content for the Fallout/Elder Scrolls series

Most of the malice towards him is related to /v/lancer, which was a mod of kitbashed content of other mods into a fun mess, mostly meant for fooling around. However, Discovery folks took it extremely personally when the ship models weren't listed as Discovery's, and Crossfire took it to the utmost extreme, the lead dev throwing a temper tantrum that's still unrivaled. In the end everyone decided to remain bitter about it while Trainwiz moved on. Yeah he wasn't nice about it, but considering the rancor thrown at him was cringeworthy to me, I'd say it was about as a normal reaction as anyone else would give.

Is there actually any proof of him taking other assets again, or is this just something made up to bring back old hate?

I haven't tried Underspace so I couldn't tell you anything about it.

Discovery and especially Crossfire complaining about content theft is hilarious as hell

Jinx takes GREAT offense to that, along with all of their sins of a solar empire and star citizen imports.

I saw this just the other day and thought what a cheap rip off the original Freelancer game and Mods and thinking are they going to get away with this or is Microsoft going to copyright them? haha maybe Discovery should do one be good if we got the rights to the game to make an official game of it I would defiantly buy it. Although I guess it would cost a fair bit to do though Confused

If it'll be under 10 dollars, I'll buy it.

Other than the creepy space monsters, I'm not sure what difference this game can show compared to Freelancer. Will it even have multiplayer?

mmmmmm solar wind farm???? XD

RE: Underspace - teschy - 07-23-2019

I mean the game is developed by the same guy who made this, so it can't be that bad. In fact, this has more views than his Underspace trailer.

RE: Underspace - Dave Synk - 07-28-2019

Once launched on steam, I expect this game will have quite a fair online community for many Freelancer fans will jump into it. It's refreshing, looks so fun and seems like the kind of game to get addicted. And the remark that it looks like Freelancer Stellaris, it's spot on! I'll totally dig it.

Some people in this thread still take things too serious, even Disco.
