"It was just a prank bro, i swear. Even though I said that the base is going to die a few posts ago, it was just a prank" And there's a very clear distinction of someone ignoring a comm and someone potentially being in a hospital RE: Base killed while in hospital maybe? or on vacation? - Greylock - 09-21-2019 We don't know if the person is even in the hospital. Do we automatically assume that someone that has left Disco without a word to anyone else is dying now? They could be on vacation as the second part of the title suggests. We. Don't. Know. But again, it's not any of our problems. They messed up before they left, and now they lose about a month of work. Or a week if you have friends. Keep in mind, Charo, I've built a core 2 base with 4 defmods in under a week. It's not hard. RE: Base killed while in hospital maybe? or on vacation? - Grumblesaur - 09-21-2019 'Kay bud. Now that we're here, I think it's a worthy opportunity to note that the ability of official factions to levy fines for arbitrary player-owned base laws constitutes little more than racketeering. Pay large and often reoccurring fees to a player-managed asset to be allowed to build in a place with no guarantee of protection, nor any discount for consideration of activity or economic boon granted to the area for its intrinsic value as a station? It's not like player-bases aren't already expensive and time-consuming enough to operate per se. ![]() It's just a way for official factions to bully independent players and unofficial factions. Enforcing this law is assent to this meta-game variety of bullying. (09-21-2019, 07:20 AM)Greylock Wrote: Keep in mind, Charo, I've built a core 2 base with 4 defmods in under a week. It's not hard. Yet when you have someone here going "hey can we chill for a minute for them to get back" you're still gonna go "no fuck you"? Also that's a BIG doubt on that claim there, unless you have like 10 people working around the clock, because it takes around a week just to get the blueprints to get core 2. RE: Base killed while in hospital maybe? or on vacation? - Greylock - 09-21-2019 I got the blueprints within like 6 hours, actually. (Denis bae <3) Smoke and myself were working around the clock. RE: Base killed while in hospital maybe? or on vacation? - Timinator - 09-21-2019 It's astonishing how hard people try to stop [RM] from enforcing irp consequences, yet no one said to BDM + RM Indies:"But you can't siege [RM] bases, that makes no sense." Which apparently happend too. Also the PoB Owner "ALUMINIUM" is given enaugh time. Even if he would reply now, it would be easy for us to not siege the base, and therefore retcon it. Perhaps you shouldn't be trying to justify a siege with that as your precedent.
