I'm thinking of making an indy IMG just to try out mining, not too fond of the idea of starting a trader there either. And no Chris, don't need an ego boost, just seeing my options with the least amount of effort:P

As the Seelie said, go for Bowex, and I say this for a broad range of reasons.
1) Bretonia is awesome
2) Bretonia is better than Kusari
3) Bowex is awesome
4) Bowex is better than Gateway
Also, we manufacture all the best trade ships. We own Scarborough Shipyard! Oh, and we own the Bretonian Government, but, Shhh!
And yes, our Shire CTrans is a condensed (expanded actually - it's massive!) package of win.
