This is a great model overall, but I think it's on the verge of looking too sleek to fit the angular and boxy style of Rheinland's Valkyrie and Banshee.
Though fortunately, it's not as unfitting of the line as the Sleipnir is.

This is a really, really nice mesh. I'm personally not bothered by the cockpit or any one part of it really. What I can see is how and why there are elements of the old one that people would miss, as the old mesh does have the benefit of not being the same design we've seen rehashed one hundred times at this point.
I honestly agree that this would be better as a Mjolnir replacement, which is not of a terribly high quality. The Fafnir is practically a modern masterpiece in Comparison to the Mjolnir and the Berg, and it's highly iconic - if it were going to get a remodel, the all I'd want to do is touch it up.
Regarding a Bergelmir replacement - I was highly impressed with the remastered that @Hades did back in 2012, and I was lucky enough to be able to snag the images off of photobucket. I still have a way of contacting him and there's a chance that I could get my hands on this model, allowing us to simultaneously replace both the Berg and Mjolnir at the same time.

Hades doesn't have that model any more, I've already asked him.
I came up with the design and he modelled it, I believe the guy that textured all of massdriver's ships did the textures. Aeturnus Doleo approved it for inclusion and then claimed to have "lost" the files when 4.87 released.
Edit: Also I really hope this doesn't get used for the Mjölnir. It would be a shame to waste such a nice model on a super heavy fighter.
