We need this, I don't want to be scrolling down the player list and see the RNC-Prometheus in Tau 37 or Kyushu, trying to fix it's rep for a guard tag.
I would definately agree on this tool being implemented, good idea, can't be abused.

Yes - please implement this tool. I recently had to fly all through liberty with my Rhineland adv Train to fix my rep... where's the logic in that?
Also I would love to play the game more rather than constantly worrying about my rep and how to fix it.

Guard IFFs are just mere status symbols. The Guard ID is easier to get than the respective IFF. I did it, and would do it again. Why so fixed on the IFF? It sure is prohibited to use the Guard ID with any other IFF, but does that mean it also prohibits usage with the appropriate standard IFF? Guard and normal IFF show in-game as the same. Sure, I can understand to an extent that you, who were repfixing through half of Sirius to get the Guard IFF, are p*ssed off because there's an easier way to get one with this tool, but that's it. You don't have to get the Guard IFF, a normal one is just fine as well. The good that can be made with this tool overweighs the "bad" of it. Well, but if you really feel this should not be abused then yeah, make this some sort of a reverse bribe and draw cash for every rep fix, possibly include even a "cooldown" like the renameme command.
I'm fully in favour of this getting included.

and am all for it, i myself dont have to run around much i have my ways making it to guard without sweat but i rather see someone mistyped a /setrep gmg -3 than seeing him all over the place with some ID, or recruit now. and "rep fixing" it can make a lot of things look nicer

Reason I say no.
Because it should be a challenge to get your guard tag.
It shouldn't just be given to you just like that.
You should earn it like all those people before you.
If you can't get the tag then you don't deserve the ship that
corresponds to that tag.
That's why I say no.

But at the moment its stupid about how much faffing around and oorp that is needed to get the guard tag, it shouldnt mean i have to go around lowing factions around sirius, more than once for one guard tag.
Note: i even had to go and find some corsair Npcs once to kill because i manage to get them fully friendly on my outcast because of the amount of bh i had killed.
