corsair capital ships - Linkus - 03-29-2009 Get the ID. Get the IFF. Get the ship. All done. Player factions can enforce what they will but they can't attack players who are properly set up and who are playing within the vanilla/Discovery RP of the faction. So you can deny the Corsair Council, the Order Council, the LN, the RM..everyone. As long as you do not break the server rules and do things that are logical in the RP of the faction then you cannot be touched by them. corsair capital ships - Muleo - 03-29-2009 ' Wrote:As long as you do not break the server rules and do things that are logical in the RP of the faction then you cannot be touched by them. That's not quite true. If you break the rules set by the official player factions, they have the right to punish you. So no, you can't "deny the Corsair Council, the Order Council, the LN, the RM..everyone." corsair capital ships - Linkus - 03-29-2009 Quote:None of these decisions prevent a player faction or non-player faction members of an npc faction from exerting influence (including gunfire) on characters belonging to their npc faction who are behaving contrary to the accepted roleplay for that faction as created by the mod and described by the Administration. In other words, if a Corsair affiliated character is behaving contrary to the way a Corsair should behave (for example, allying with BHG and attacking The Order) then other Corsairs may consider him hostile and act accordingly. Written by Xoria but decided by all Admins. Notice that it relates to the Corsairs as well. It means that the Corsair Council can attack those behaving OORP as a Corsair but yet, they can't do it if they are in RP in relation to the NPC faction. Player faction RP is not counted into this. Quote:An Order Council may be created, but no one who disagrees with it is under its authority. So yes, you can deny the order Council. You can also deny the Corsair Council by that logic. corsair capital ships - Cosmos - 03-29-2009 but remember the Council can then declare them rogue, in which the corsair Factions will listen... Even HAF. corsair capital ships - Muleo - 03-29-2009 ' Wrote:Written by Xoria but decided by all Admins. How does what you quoted support your argument? The basic point is that buying a ship on it's own, is not good enough reason for factions to shoot indies. But breaking rules, such as those set by the factions, is enough justification. Read Xoria's post again for yourself. It certainly doesn't say 'have the right ID/IFF/Ship/Gear and you can do whatever you like.' corsair capital ships - sycima - 03-29-2009 i am not considering buying one, this question was out of curiousaty(cuz i saw the guard id).......i already have a bomber witch i love it corsair capital ships - Linkus - 03-30-2009 Quote:a player faction or non-player faction members of an npc faction from exerting influence (including gunfire) on characters belonging to their npc faction who are behaving contrary to the accepted roleplay for that faction as created by the mod and described by the Administration. Which means that a player faction can exert influence on people who do not go by the roleplay created for that NPC faction by the mod and Administration. If you read the sentence then it clearly also implies that player factions should not influence people who are not playing contrary to the accepted roleplay made for the NPC faction. This has been seen in god knows how many cases already on the server. The treaty that was brokered between the Mollys and Bretonia is a clear exmaple of this. Those who did not want to go along with the ceasefire between the BAF and Mollys were fine, the MR or UoG could not shoot them for that and Admins have stated so in the past. corsair capital ships - Aline - 04-01-2009 Quick question, is the GB limeted in any way? I am sure it wasent before, but since many factions change their cap ship rules i thought i might ask. Also do the "you shall not leave Corsair space" rules apply to them or only to the larger ones? corsair capital ships - Muleo - 04-01-2009 The various corsair cap rules only apply to cruiser and above corsair capital ships - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 04-01-2009 No, it isnt and you can leave corsair space in a gunboat. I myself once went on a rampage in new yourk in a gunboat, until the caps showed up. Good times. |
