But the question was about an "Arrow". In this case, the first looks more... Appropriate. I think the ship should at least keep its general shape. It's an "Arrow" after all.

Honestly, the overall shape of Type A just doesn't look very Freelancery. Freelancer fighters are chunky. Now, diverging from the style isn't as bad for a new shipline, but if it's supposed to be an addition to CTE, it should probably blend in better with the existing style.
Also honestly the needletube shape is visually bland.
B's a little odd for CTE, but a better fit for Freelancer overall. Has that chunky feel, and I could accept it as a bulked-up entry to the Starflier family. The only thing I specifically dislike about B is those hardpoint pylons near the cockpit, that bent single strut makes them look really flimsy.

That looks pretty interesting but too complicated for CTE, if you ask me. Maybe they could go to IDC instead. They'd fit in with the Sunburst quite nicely.
