Can it not detect it as you press enter to open the chat box, too? This would be a very useful feature, for those times when you're sitting, RPing with someone, and you're not sure if they're even responding to you...

The client can detect it yes, but i cant think of a reason off-hand why it would need to tell the server that the chat window is open. This means it probably does not tell the server this. But, you know, this is all conjecture.

Seriously, i like the idea but i think it would cause lots of grief...
The /setmsg <number> <message> is a good replacement thou :)
make different colors
green flashing name = private
white flashing = system
blue = local (/l detection)
purple = group

Maybe everyone could do this, when typing (or about to type technically) just say this: /T:Peasy way.
Good idea anyways though Mr. ZORK. Been waitin for someone to think of that.

just remember of the system chat in NY with 4.84 and before

Macros =/= Roleplay.
Stuff happens. You apologize, send them 500k for blowing them up prematurely, and get over it all.
