Specifically, encountering him on the LL-Pennybrooke. The Joker was merciless, but Edwin and him had something of a professional understanding. They would always fight, but with mutual respect. Died once or twice. Got away a few other times. As a pirate....I don't know. Honestly traders are 99% awful, and the really memorable encounters were mostly unintentional hilarity from traders being dumb, the most legendary of course being: ![]() Considering it's been almost eight years, I think I can get away with trial-by-forum. Statute of limitations and all that. RE: So what was your best piracy encounter? (both from pirates and those halted) - diamond1 - 02-17-2021 As a pirate, I've gotten bored of the whole "5m or dai" based function so I've started incorporating a dice-based game of "Rogue roulette" as i like to call it to make it more fun where the odds are in more favour to people who have no cargo, and 50% between both parties if they have cargo. I don't have one "Particular" Favourite but honestly the roleplay interactions are almost always better when doing it this way, and encourages lines i've been waiting to use because people tend to run off and i have to kill them before they even get the chance. Honestly my best interactions is when i explain the rules which is more fair than normal piracies and then people just try to run away ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ RE: So what was your best piracy encounter? (both from pirates and those halted) - Binski - 02-17-2021 One of my first few pirate attacks was on a miner out in Nagano where the old ore field was by the planet where they had a POB. That attack was relatively uneventful and after a short routine exhange I started out back over to the Tau-37 side of the system. I lingered and within 10 minutes, a brave Akegata comes from the direction of the base. It was a different guy but he tracked me down in his big ship, full with ore, looking for immediate recompense for the miner! But he underestimated the Pelican. That was the first time I learned quickly how to turrent steer and fight. He kept at me and wandered way out far from safety before realizing I was turning it around. That was also the first time I realized you can literally fly circles around big ships while hammering them. Finally that ship went down, ore and all! Thus, it all began! He even offered some tips about armor and Xeno Relics! It wasn't classic "piracy", just some cool RP oriented piracy that makes sense for the faction. RE: So what was your best piracy encounter? He proceeded to kill all three of my escorts while following me, cding me, and cutting every lane I got close to. I ended up paying him. Applause to that indie Hacker from 2019, I forgot your name. RE: So what was your best piracy encounter? (both from pirates and those halted) - Machelvanius - 02-18-2021 I was stopped by a pirate. I was empty. He told me: "Tell me a joke or pay 1 million credits." I said: "I'll tell you joke!" He said: "It better be funny or else!" I said: "Two pirates walked into a bar. . . " "you'd think one of them would have warned the other there was a bar there." He said: "That's not funny." A long silence "You can move along now!" I survived with all my credits. . . That was hilarious. I had a laugh on that one for a while. RE: So what was your best piracy encounter? (both from pirates and those halted) - Charo - 02-18-2021 I was running supplies for the LSF base. A pirate stopped me, demanded that I take this cargo that was floating there (he was going to watch the stuff I was carrying), sell it, then give him half. He called me a few times to do it later on. Nice lad, wish I still came across him RE: So what was your best piracy encounter? Did that event happen near the planet Huston and the pirate was in a Rogue Werewolf called Redfire? XD |
