Do you run the game with administrator privileges?
Do you have a firewall - is it blocking Freelancer traffic (UDP port 2302)
What virus scanner are you using? Many virus scanners don't like Freelancer. If you are using AVG, uninstall it and get another one - I like Avira.
Can you see any other servers?
The server is now on the list again... I just figured it was a problem with the server, so I just waited overnight... and sure enough, it came back! I guess server stability isn't 100%.

it is essential in Vista to have FLMM open when installing the mod for it to work right. this little step has helped many from what i've seen.

well, the server was there the last time I checked, so I unmodded and remodded with the ENB bloom mod enabled, and now the server is gone. Could that have anything to do with it?

i dont think so. ive tryed almost everything now. i will try it one more time. also i wanna ask: my scanner is AVG free. can some1 say if its is a black virus scanner for FL or a white? well wish me luck.

AVG used to be on the white list until a few months ago when the new version came out which is not Freelancer friendly, so you need to uninstall it, don't just de-activate, you must uninstall completely.
