So it's about sapping them of their strength and/or vital functions, and not by just being brutish and violent about it. Hmmm... this might be a big challenge, but one that's still much less complicated than delving into the obnoxious and infinite depths of antimatter research. I would need to find some way to not only "steal" the light, but also harness it through some kind of machine that keeps it there... rhhh. I'm going to need to kidnap at least one xenobiologist for this, I'm sure. F-from our labs I mean. I'm not actually going to-- mmh. Moving on. "Sucking" the life out of something so complex could also require some live experimentation, and you know how dangerous it is to goad the Sentinels into a fight.

What kind of salvaged bits do you reckon you could obtain from these guys? Aren't they all mostly made of organic material anyways?

I can see why you are recommending ion tech. Frequency regulators are usually pretty, erhh... docile when it comes to tweaking ion energy emitters. Ideally, a machine that contains "empty" crystals attuned to the same frequency as active ones could be exploited to remove the energy from active Sentinel forms.

I am not quite sure on how they function, but based on the fact that they share a similar anatomy to that of regular Nomad forms, I could not help but think about this... siphon-like device that transfers the light from a live Sentinel form into a more "dormient" one, contained inside an external device mounted on a ship. Ermm... think of it as some kind of numbed arm that hasn't received its proper blood flow during the night because of poor posture, and all the blood comes rushing back in once you wake up. Wouldn't that be... somewhat feasible? In any capacity? It-- it might be a stupid idea. Need to think.
