NPCs too strong - slashhammer - 04-24-2009 ' Wrote:No a one, not a single one of them....and I didn't suck, was hitting all the time. You also have had two more possibilities: 01. Wait for the server to get full - when there are more then 100 players online npc's get a lot less, when it's full (close to 200 players) there are almost no npc's left at all, except the mission based ones. 02. On my oppinion the better and mor RP like one, hire escorts! 03. For the future, build convois with other players, get some escorts, share you profit and enjoy teamplay. Cheers John NPCs too strong - Weedalot - 04-24-2009 ' Wrote:Visit Omega-52 or Omicron Iota when the server is empty.Add galia to the list, places for traders:P NPCs too strong - Fozzie - 04-24-2009 The NPCs are too powerfull in general. Also they don't drop enough valuable loot to justify how hard they are to kill now. A lot of us simply can not devote enough time to organize convoys and the NPCs with TCDs are just plain ridiculous. This is an rp server and the NPCs are NOT adding to that. In my opinion they need to lose the TCDs so you have the option of running from them when you don't feel like fighting your way through every damn system. NPCs too strong - reavengitair - 04-24-2009 I agree with Fozzie. NPCs are to powerful - and TCDs are ridiculous. But I definatley thing that having more loot on the NPCs would make a good balance. NPCs too strong - Bogenschutz - 04-24-2009 I'm telling ya, Been playing as a trader for a week and I've LOST more credits than I've earned. 11 million loss to be exact. NPCs too strong - Aurigae - 04-24-2009 Actually, I have a feeling that these NPCs create semi-sufficient server, "things do something themselves - they don't need us". But it provides a lot of challenge though and they help to defend Guard systems a LOT. No quicksmuggling through them and so on. NPCs too strong - Ceoran - 04-24-2009 Since I heard what happened to that royal cruiser that tried to camp an unione corse base I say: keep them as strong as they are :D About the TCDs: In my oppinion the mentioned places aren't somewhere near a place where a lawful trade faction should be, so it's more a place for transports that can use the CMs. If they don't work they should be made more efficient, but leave the CDs. NPCs too strong - Othman - 04-24-2009 I won't comment about the NPCs in regular systems but whining about how strong the NPCs in restricted systems is just ridiculous. You are not meant to go in there at all. On the other hand, I'm not sure if every regular NPC patrol has TCDs. Even if they do, the amount of ammo they carry should be limited to an extent that they can't spam you with it forever. And you have to bear with it if you are hostile to Corsairs and passing from a system populated with their NPCs. Can't have the cake and eat it. NPCs too strong - tansytansey - 04-24-2009 I think that just because one more trader got killed by some npcs doesn't mean they're over powered. I don't think my trader has ever been killed by npcs... but then I fly a Firefly which is much faster than the adv. train. Oh well. Guess that's my advantage over a slow 5000 cargo ship. Space, particularly the edge and border worlds, is supposed to be dangerous. NPCs add to this immersion. If you don't like getting killed by npcs do a safe trade route, preferably through California, so I can pirate you. NPCs shouldn't get a nerf just because some people have inadequacies. By that logic, Disco should be no npcs, no battleships, no missiles, no snacs, fighters only FINAL DESTINATION. ![]() By the way, you also earn this.
NPCs too strong - CCI45-px/Probe149 - 04-24-2009 Never had problems with any NPC. Not in 4.84, not in the Betas. Leaves me wondering what you are all doing. |
