The Edge Worlds were always a special place to me, and I spent considerable amounts in ODelta as well. It, was special indeed.

I personally like the Delta we have right now. The layout isn't as tight as it was in 2016 version, nor does it serve as a fill-in for Zeta - which was removed back then, if my memory serves. And the visuals made it look like it was a continuation of Kappa.
Delta didn't die because it got reworked back into what it originally was. Many factors are at work here - staff negligence, playerbases unwilling or unable to do anything, etc

Yeah, the entire OST is a banger. Some of the themes work pretty well with Freelancer, too
