Is there a way to make broadcast Sirius wide? Or at least Liberty wide? I know I've seen universal chat on one other FL server (PM for name), I just don't know if that would cut it, or would it just be a spam-the-chat situation if it were implemented?

My character doesn't worry about that, For him it's only about the story. for eg: one story might be on a pirate blowing someone up and the next might be on a lawful side. To truly do this though I'm gonna need a nuetral ID. But for now be under lvl 30 helps.

this could possibly work, but theonly problem would be that a real news service isn't biase or ins't supposed to be. But thanks to all who have commented on this so far, it feels so great to be doing something right in the way of RP!

:lol:you may need some help... or i could set up another newsletter to rival yours... (I like the first option if I don't have help for myself) but Ventana's "Discoverer" could cover that.
another idea... go to the employment page and post something there looking for help (employment page is in RP, so be sure to make it legit). Something allong the lines of:

Needed: Reporters to fly around Sirius to report the news the way it happened
Skills needed: Able to take a story and write it up so that the rest of sirius can be in the loop.
then the reporters send their posts to you (the editor) before they get posted (in the stories forum most likely). Having multiple people right the stories gives for multiple view points. One reporter may like to report the lawful side, while another will report the unlawful side, then another may just state the cold hard facts...
and you need a good name for the news letter
anyways, there's my input.
edit: oh, and use camera ships, the ones found at that station in pennsylvania (for RP purposes)

1. sounds like a good idea to have people employeed under me, but for now I'm only trialing the idea.
2. I'm not sure of the ship used yet, I was thinking the grizzly because of the satelite dish on top but the camera ship could work to.

BTW, sounds like a good idea, just hope you can keep up with all the events and possibly have people from different timezones. You may also gather some info from the message dumps - as long as you have permission and of course pull out only news related items...
