I must interfere in here ... I am KPR|Wolfgeist and the reason of the name was to make funny toughs about the Rheinland Ship-names

Other ship names Rheinland had were:

Rheinland ships names were actually saying the same, usually an spirit, a place or something in nordic or some "mythological/fantasy things" ...
Wolfgeist is my Polizei Vulture, intented to be part of the "Special Operative Polizei" and yes, it means Spirit

Allow me to Illuminate yourself with some data gathering:
  • Banshee: A banshee is a female spirit in Irish folklore who heralds the death of a family member, usually by screaming, wailing, shrieking, or keening. The term “banshee” comes from the Irish “bean sídhe”, meaning "woman of the fairies"
  • Valkyrie: In Norse mythology, a Valkyrie is a female helping spirit of the god Odin. Valkyries are known for choosing who will die in battle and who will be taken to Valhalla
  • Poltergeist: A poltergeist is a type of ghost or other supernatural entity which is responsible for physical disturbances, such as loud noises and objects being moved or destroyed
  • Spectre: A spectre is a ghost or ghostlike image of someone, especially one seen shortly before or after their death
  • Tiger Shark: A Tiger Shark is a large, predatory species of shark named for the dark, vertical stripes found mainly on juveniles
  • Phantom: A phantom is a ghost or ghostlike image of someone, especially one seen shortly before or after their death

  • The term “Geist” is of German origin and it can be translated into English as “spirit” or “ghost”. It also refers to the quality of being spirited, motivated, or intelligent. In German philosophy, “Geist” holds a significant degree of importance and can also refer to the mind or intellect
The ship line tell there is a "Ghost or Spirit" in the names, i just wanna make fun of that by calling my ship "Wolfgeist" there are no rules to avoid that, indeed, such "Geist" are my ships and usually i use it as "Special Operative or CovertOps for Polizei", call it whatever you like, but before you keep saying "I don't belive that are good names for a pilot" ask yourself who is that pilot and even more importantly, ask first from where could the name be taken, and there you have, almost any snub ship-line Rheinland had was called after an Spirit or Ghost or Entity, even the Valkyrie is actually an Entity-Spirit kind

So please, before commenting do some research in order to get to the points SHE NEEDS and ASKED whole of people (Isn't easy and even expecting your trolling and other things, she decided to open a broadcast to hear your thoughs, since lot of people is kinda coward to even ask it in Private or Discord about "i dislike it can you try to not do it again?" and instead people prefered to report her, surprise in how Management (By Server Admins and Moderators) has been very quick to judge her and they have been very harsh in how they have treated her for seeking answers. If she comes to you, you should at least respond to what she is looking for and not talk about other topics.

Either way, it is part of the only feedback I can give regarding the roleplay, but it is admittedly a nitpick.

I am admittedly rather far removed from the matter at hand, but I've seen how you've reacted to getting moderated over this and I can obviously see how much you've written here.

It comes across as very defensive, highly strung and, most of all, guilty. I have to agree with what TTakayaki said rather directly. Whole thing comes across as a case of "the writer's barely disguised fetish", only you're taking great pains to over-explain and defend it. This is further evident in other steps you undertook, or rather did not, such as failing to note the character's actual DOB where appropriate. So when you hammer the point about her just being young and that maybe being weird for the position it absolutely comes across as deflection, because most people aren't terribly interested in that.

Mentioned also your response to all this elsewhere, namely discord, in which you rather aggressively pinged all mod roles and some individuals also a couple of times, making accusations of bias, persecution and doing a quite frankly piss poor job of trying to paint them in a bad light. You aren't the victim of unfair treatment here, just of yourself. It is pretty inappropriate behaviour and a bad way to handle criticism. I worry that your response to people here will similar but I'll be happy if I'm wrong.

What I feel it all comes down to is a couple of options.

You can either accept what's being said, go with a character picture that's more appropriate and continue being transparent about the age going forward, or you can carry on, have a technically 'legal' if ill fitting image, skirt the line and continue to get weird looks/comments.

You're obviously desperate to dispel this stigma, so the former would be best. If people hold it against you after admitting to it, adjusting and moving on then quite frankly that's their problem. Otherwise, what you do in your own time is your own business and I'd be obliged if it remained that way. No one here needs a window into anyone's more dubious interests.

Hi, Goliath while I gladly receive your response and your pair of cents, I would like to explain that I don’t plan to change something you commenting in the way you suggested, but I appreciate how you handled my request, and will take appropiate measures specially on "Character Appareance" that is the main topic after all, the rest is explained as follows

Let me answer some questions that were raised in the response.

Fresh Experience: It’s not usually common to have new pilots in such ranks, so that should be the “fresh experience” alongside other ideas I am bringing to the Polizei new reform. Try to request and see what you get at “difference” from others. Yes, she is supposed to be young. The Rheinland House suffered a Civil War, Military overtook and ruled so Polizei was in an abandoned state till now. There was time to start shifting the military into a Civil one, so a Polizei should now be doing some tasks. From there, the “Militarized Polizei” still exists even at this day.

Player Interest: Players show interest in a faction if they see some activity. Now that we are having it, even when I was alone, I kept sending communications in a certain way. So if they get interested, it’s because we are already pushing and with compromise.

Freyja’s Appearance: Freyja’s look is actually supposed to show her recruitment photograph from when she was doing patrols in Hamburg but mainly in Terran, not space. The space one should arrive after she decided to take the Polizei an actual agency to defend not only inside planets but even the space, outside the "Base Internals", she is indeed a mixed marriage between Rheinland and Kusarian, this is personal preference, not really something should be aware to

Leadership Style: If you fancy where faction leaders stay always doing paperwork, then you are more a “Forum-Style-Senior”. While we have our bureaucracy to do paperwork (when needed), Freyja, as a young spirit, believes that sometimes even she should get her hands “dirty” to do “stuff”. After all, a REAL Leader is the person who teaches and shows how it should be done, because they did it before, not only the one who does paperwork and penalizes if someone did bad. Freyja’s mind is quite different. If she needs to teach and keep learning, she will. Actually, Polizei paperwork is a little, but we will be doing it in a way to let [RM] pass such tasks with due time.

Ship Preference: While I understand your position of "Important people should be in “Flagships only and not in a lone fighter”, that approach is more over military ranks. The Polizei is not something to have a huge force of capital ships. Instead, the Polizei relies on snubcraft and some capital fleet, the inverse of how any Military works. For example, the US Navy relies on boats while the US Police relies on cars. They have some choppers, but it’s not the main force of the Police. (And because always read "I only see CAPS, caps, Caps, ... and no fighter, getting outside reality, that is all about about 20% of the reason too)

I hope this brings out any doubt and clarification about your message. Thanks for the time answering to this and let me get another "Viewpoint" outside of mine is nicely glad and your comment you can be sure will help me to improve and see what players would like be expecting with it.

Hi Fenrir, I appreciate your feedback and I’m sure you didn’t expect me to respond in this way, but let’s get into it.

1.- As you may be aware, yes, all pilots can operate any type of ship. The Polizei has had its share of conflicts, the civil war was indeed a mess. The Polizei disbanded and two Polizei forces emerged, The Rheinland Federal Polizei and the The Kaiser Imperial Polizei. The side that won? The Imperialists. Then the [RM] took over the Polizei tasks, merging into one solid force. But doing this for a long time led to consequences and if you research about this, it usually leads to a series of tragic events:

Military forces are primarily trained for combat, strategic defense, and international missions.
Police forces, on the other hand, focus on maintaining law and order, community policing, and handling domestic situations.
When the military takes on law enforcement roles, it’s essential to recognize that they lack the same training and experience as police officers. Their involvement should be limited to a support and logistical role, reinforcing law enforcement without supplanting them.
In that context, I preferred to act solely as a Polizei to do what a Police officer usually does (Crime prevention, secure homeland, and maintaining law enforcement) just as any other “Civilized” way and not keep it in a “Military” thing. Still, Polizei had a past in [RM] in this case, so that is why the KPR| can be and is for me considered as “Militarized Polizei” due to such “Transition” we are undergoing.

2.- That is only partially true, (I left a document for people to read anyways) when Freyja took over Rheinland Space Polizei (KPR|) she found there was no one to do the job. She looked for the inspector and military command and even if they didn’t want to, they initially gave the 2IC on the Polizei to see how she works and handle small tasks, to later rely on her to manage Polizei things as the First in Command (after the civil war a lot of Police pilots deserted or disappeared, some officers remained and such officers are the ones who actually got the command in it).

3.- Remember what happened that night in discord? Well, let me refresh your memory… I just came and started doing things mainly to get Wesker’s attention and share my thoughts and congratulations for OF. Later, your friendly “Jayenbee (UTC+0 / GMT) — 01/02/2024 18:42 It’s a shame that you use the char pic you do tbh.” wrote that, and then everyone started messing with my character. Then you followed alongside with some of the members. What did I ask? “Let me find another character profile and ask Felipe to redo my picture”. Then L1ght came and pushed it as Mandatory without waiting, and that’s where everything started. I hope you remember it well.

Yes, the character in question was taken from an adult model, and it is true. While it’s unfortunate if you’ve had a negative experience, I should first ask: Have you ever tried to do RP with me via a Communication Channel? Answering your question, she was “catapulted” by hard work and with the will to do her duty as Polizei. Or will you tell me the time where Polizei in Rheinland was a thing? We in this server are suffering from a lack of player base. We passed from having lots of activity to “forced activity” to revive a faction that usually no one wants to play. Because admit it or not, military factions are way more fun than Polizei factions. That is a truth in almost all senses. But if someone wants to try their luck in doing Polizei? If a slot is open and you want to try and have some support from the people that will rely tasks and works to you, that means a nice start for it. I did and I am doing it right now. My will to do things as Polizei let me get a charge for it.
She was in do so after the Civil War and a slowly Re-institution of a formal Polizei Office in Rheinland, and trust me is lot of paperwork and teaching you need to know, update in serious background documents and lot of it, it was not been easy, but it isn't harder, but i should divide some timeframe for "IRL, Other Games, Work, and Discovery, not only the Game side but the Forum side" ... so i hope that point get remarked in why, it was due a Civil War and literally almost no-pilots to be the Polizei force

I can understand your interpretation of such picture “incongruency” if we can say it. But what is a fact is that why just some people did and why those people (instead of trying to open a message to me, did not act as how it should be fixed?) The question remains, how hard is it to look for my Discord (in my signature), how hard is it to just send a message with your briefing (2 clicks and maybe some typewriting?), If you don’t like something you try to change it, but first at least reach to message that person before, not just “Report” as if no other day will ever exist.

I appreciate your feedback and I understand where you’re coming from. Negative feedback can indeed be constructive, but if you do so, wouldn’t it be more productive to try to contact the person in question to look for a solution before making a report?

When I started playing in Discovery more than 10+ years ago, the people in the game helped me with lots of things, explained how ID works and so on. They even took the time to answer my questions. At that time, the “Wiki” was a thing, but I never took into account that these forums existed. Still, those loyal people are the ones I always show a lot of respect to, without asking for anything in return. They briefed me on how Discovery is and how it has changed, what I can and cannot do, mainly in games. I remember doing some missions or killing some NPCs and afterward, I was being called for my initiation to “kill these NPCs and I will pay you a reward”. Everything was different than now.

If you open your eyes and see this world, you will find that those people almost do not exist anymore. The community has become toxic, corruption has reached high levels at some point. It’s hard to ask for evidence or explanations with respect, that loose interest in any player. Seeing how this world is handled, Discovery isn’t the exception. I asked every mod, every admin, even you (a Dev Lead, because as a Lead you should know things too to explain), what response I got always? (“I just believe in L1ght’s approach”) An Admin Trial for me was too false without even evidence of how or why it reached that ending point.

But at that point, he gives a thing “People reported your post”. Then I am looking for it. If I cannot get evidence when requested (that is the right of any offender) and know how and why it is considered as such, then I preferred to look somewhere else, the Forums. I explained my case in search of the people who reported (I know no one will say they did) but mainly for answers. What could I have done that gets really angry for a community (that not even RP with me just opened a comm message) and hated me? ANSWERS is what I am LOOKING for.

You’re right, I am indeed updating the KPR Information page and making some changes. It needs to fit granularly and align well with the RP done, before and actually something not always is done. She has to learn the differences, the starts and ends, she has to start changing the “People Trust” in that the Polizei is here to stay and not here to abandon them. A Reformed Polizei of Rheinland, with no more “Brutality” and instead working more “Civilized”. The Polizei actually, and by how it’s doing, was born from the Military, and I want to keep it that way in order to do the best “Shift” after the Civil War. Because after a war there are still issues and internal wars the police force is unable to handle, but if you want to start a police, you should shift it from somewhere, and what is the best than “Fresh” officers not dragged entirely by how a Military works? Fresh minds to make the changes are one of the best options.

Allow me to put this in perspective with a Real-Life story. Remember Apple? Yes, the company. Well, after Steve Jobs was ousted from Apple, the company sought a new leader. They found one in John Sculley, who was the CEO of PepsiCo at the time. Why was Jobs expelled literally from Apple? A clash of visions mainly and a coup tried to do against John, but there are other reasons like Jobs’ behavior and wishes to spend money when they more needed. The complete thing after a time such "PepsiCo Expertise" literally makes that Apple almost died, then Jobs return and start working better and that is how the company shifted from the Past, Present and Future (where Present was when John Sculley took Apple CEO in this small history)

Well, i want something like it for the KPR| That is why i try to improve and do some ways to get the history don't lack details, i want them without much hassle, but still keeping the lore, background and the "new side" in a sweep and soft manner in such transition, I hope this answer your questioning

Part of my roleplay style with Freyja involves a certain level of “bureaucracy”. I’m glad you appreciated the effort I put into our roleplay, and yes, if you ask for a Permission, I will generate a personalized .pdf with all the bells and whistles. I can’t agree more with what you said. But you should know that when this issue arose in the BDM| Discord server, I asked them to give me some time to find a better-suited photo, but they seemed to be too harsh with me. Then L1ght came along and, without even giving me a chance, pushed a sentence, literally saying I must change it at once, no waiting times, which was…sad.

I asked for time, not just to find another photo, but to have Felipe redo my photo with the modifications. Still, they started to push photo after photo after photo, again and again. Some of them were to my liking, some others were not, some of them were REALLY OFFENSIVE, like a “Woman that is a bitch but shows more than what she should” and some others were out of context. I believe if you ask, you get, but doing it forcefully and with a harsh style? Well, deception arises from seeing such a thing. I mean, the post was done with Barrier and talked about Handelsdepot Base. Well, imagine if I entered other posts (without me having permission to join and report it), what a nice surprise I got when I saw all my posts with picture removal and seeing “Edited by L1ght”…and some others did with harshed ways, like literally breaking all the posts format

What would you expect, never having been sanctioned in such a way, looking for answers and he saying things like “I told you to change”… Less than 24 hours? My gosh! After bad treatment and a harsh one, what more can I expect? Well, getting no answers is one…until now. And not from people should get the answers, but instead the Community
