FC With, making my first report over Firestorm. Been a hot minute since I've done one of these. Anyway, movin' swiftly along...

Initiate Crowe and I had travelled to Freeport 6 in order to secure two K13 "Falchion" strikecraft from an old contact of mine within the IMG. Got a good deal on the things, as my contact was more interested in cutting his losses on maintenance costs than turning a profit. Workhorses secured, we did the absolute nailbiter of a flight back to FP14 entirely unarmed, whereupon I picked up another special order for myself -- a set of four new guns crafted in imitation of a Kusari gunsmith's work, usually known as FROSTBITEs. We then RTBed, with Initiate Crowe spending some time getting their ship outfitted and getting used to the controls, also christening their new fighter as Wind Rose, while I prepared for the next bit of today's work.

At exactly 0901 hours, 21 seconds, Aergia Research Facility utilized its prototype "veil-render", as the Auxesians called it, to generate a jump hole to the so-called "Earhart" or "Anchor" system. I proceeded through, followed by Initiate Hideyoshi (in the strikecraft Watatsumi) and the Technocrat freighter SV Lilac Dawn (an R1 "Draugr") . While Hideyoshi and I scouted the various jump anomalies in this absolute fuckin' freakshow of a system -- which, by the way, has giant death lasers all over the place, not to speak of ambient radiation what corrupted all my visual logs -- while our Technocrat counterpart dived headfirst into an uncharted system in pursuit of some valuable and unstable cargo the nature of which I'll neither attempt to comprehend nor explain in this report. The pilot of the Lilac Dawn explained that some people can't stand being in the Anchor, as if the graveyard of a system is "screaming at them". Sounds like superstition to me, but with the giant alien railguns, who even knows?

After our friend came back out in good health, spooky shite securely within hold -- didn't ask any questions about it, but next time perhaps I will -- we made for the Omega-7 jump anomaly and did a fast burn up via Bretonia, as allegedly some of the cargo might have destabilized the Oh-Five-Five/Vespucci connection. Thinkin' back on it, I'm mighty bloody curious about what exactly we were running escort for, but I do digress.

As we made our way home, Initiate Crowe informed us they'd encountered a gunboat bearing the callsign of I-127[1] with a Kusari Office of Intelligence ident. As we entered Cortez via the Manchester gate utilizing decades-old access codes, the Lilac Dawn made its way back to Aergia, presumably avoiding detection by the contact. The KOI agent at the helm of the ship had been attempting to pry information out of the initiate, and so I stepped in to take over the conversation. Initiate Hideyoshi in the Watatsumi took a defensive posture near me, and shortly thereafter many Technocrats arrived[2] as well. Revenant (Hawfinch fighter), Yoruha (K14 "Lance" bomber), and ACV Python (AP-385 "Pleco" gunboat) arrived as a show of force. Additional TFP units were also scrambled, including LC West in the Blackjack ("Guardian" fighter) and Atropos-2 (R1 "Lich" fighter). Both arrived on-scene[3] as soon as possible after the scramble call went out, and I'd like to issue a formal commendation to Atropos for its timely response and its restraint during a potentially tense diplomatic situation.

I interrogated the KOI agent about their presence within Cortez, and they claimed to be gathering intel about the local cardamine operations. When pressed, they made the incredibly obvious statement that the region was a major highway for smugglers, which made it quite clear that they had no intention of actually providing useful information. They repeatedly asked about Task Force Prometheus, which I deflected by simply describing us as merely an attaché of the Technocracy. I do not expect Kusari to have any sympathies towards our efforts to reestablish the Commonwealth or the Legion, and I don't wish to jeopardize our legal status within Kusari. Not only would this hinder the operations of our benefactors, but it would cut off one of the only "legal" trade markets we have, undoing all the hard work that Initiate Mori, Initiate Carmine, and others have done in the area in the past weeks.

I informed the agent that any further information would be contingent on their providing something useful to us, and threw them a bone by requesting they share the results of their anti-cardamine investigations in the area, stating that we would happily contact Kishiro to arrange for gold exports to Kusari in exchange for such info. Of course, we've been intending to step up trade with Kusari anyway, so we may as well attempt to squeeze somethin' out of the spooks with it while we're at it. The KOI agent was cagey, making no promises of any kind.

However, they did give us a service name and number to verify with their superiors:
Operative 127, personal number 127-662236-C.
Full transcript attached to this report.

After our conversation, the congregation dispersed, with the KOI operative making their way for Coronado and most other assets returning to Inverness. Atropos-2 and LC West followed me to █████ in Magellan, where we docked. I believe both later returned to Valravn.

Concludes this report. FC With, out.

. . .

"Introduction."

"Greetings. My name is unit Atropos-1. Providing report on the operation in Omicron systems."

. . .

"Summary."

"Our task was to support the Technocracy forces in their efforts to obtain alien artifacts. We flew on a course through Outcast territory. We managed to avoid clashes with ||mutants|| the forces of the Outcasts; Despite provocations from pilots TFP)-Hurricane and TFP)-Emilia.Osorio, the Outcasts were unable to react quickly enough to intercept us."

"After a brief stop at Freeport 11, we continued to Omicron Pi, mostly ignoring the sole Outcast pilot that followed us (note: unit Atropos-1 recommended getting rid of the ||mutant|| Outcast pilot in advance). Arriving on the planet Knossos, we escorted the Technocracy forces to the object of interest. We encountered the Corsair forces on the spot, their attitude towards us was neutral."

"Despite numerous warnings and TFP)-Niloticus' attempts to appease them, the Outcast pilot demonstrated a remarkable lack of self-preservation instinct and engaged overwhelming odds (note: Atropos-1 theorizes that the lack of self-preservation instinct is due to the altered biology of ||mutants|| residents of Malta). They were quickly and predictably annihilated."

"The destruction of the Outcast pilot proved useful in achieving further understanding with the Corsair forces. ||We find it amusing that the mutated meatbag was useful to us in the end.|| DTR-Hellpreacher even provided us with certain monetary resources as a token of gratitude; their contribution to our form is taken into account. DTR-Calamocha has shown interest in our robotic form. With permission, we will answer any non-critical questions that they may have during further possible communication."

"Upon returning to Omicron Delta, we encountered additional Outcast forces, displaying the same aggression as their destroyed kin. This unit's vessel was shot down during the ensuing battle. The experience of this operation will be taken into account; We will provide a more powerful vessel for participation in expeditions that involve confronting hostile forces."

. . .

"Closure."

"That is all. Unit Atropos-1 standing down. May the Light of the Fires guide us all."

Hi.

Initiate Freud spotted an Outcast Convoy moving through Cortez, so we scrambled fighters to follow. We weren't able to stop the cardamine shipment, but we did catch them on the way back. They were accompanied by a swarm of local Lane Hackers, so most of us engaged those while a small group of fighters focused on the convoy. We shot down one, but then we had more company.

It seems like the Xenos are working with the Outcasts now. Kinda hypocritical—they really have fallen far. A swarm of Xeno fighters ambushed our wing while we were already worn down, stopping our interception and letting the surviving Outcasts and their Rogue transport go free. A couple were able to restock, but most of us were caught split apart and low on damage. It was bad.

At the end, I was the last one standing, and my Falchion was malfunctioning badly. I got out just as we received a distress call from a Crayterian cruiser, the Leopold I, that they were ambushed at Cordova by the Harmony itself. Thankfully, though, there was backup, and formidable backup at that. The Auxesian Nightshade, our own Omega, and an independent ship called the Gridskipper caught the Xeno fighters there. It was a slaughter; the 7 against 3 ended with 6 Xenos down to our 2, with the Xeno M.Hill limping out with damaged craft while Gridskipper broke off. Harmony was peeled off of the Crayterian ship, which was instructed to report our assistance to their command structure; we can maybe use this to secure something with them for the Ven'gyr if we're very lucky, but ultimately this was about the Xenos.

"Do you have any idea how long it takes to fix one of these things?"

. . .

"Sorry, I digress. Initiate Freud here. With report on the recent skirmish in Colorado."

"We've joined forces with the Technocrats for a patrol. Scoured through California, Cortez and even Ontario. Everything was surprisingly quiet until we got to Colorado. It turned out that the snakes were holed up in there of all places. They were in no mood to talk, perhaps because of our last meeting, so the battle began almost immediately."

"Their first targets were TFP)-Omega and TFP)-Wind.Rose. We lost both of them trying to get to XA-'Rattlesnake'. They got the advantage."

"I think no one expected the appearance of this unusual Rogue, Birdie. They entered the battle on our side with their gunboat and bought us some time. Just enough to get to XA-'Rattlesnake'. Alas, this did not stop them from successively bringing down Upalite and Birdie. We managed to neutralize XA-Joel.Wilson, but not before they shot down TFP)-Fresnel. Next we lost XV-127, leaving only me and TFP)-BeIlamy.Crowe. We were able to bring down XA-August.Kaplan before Crowe's fighter was too damaged to continue the fight."

"They gave me a fair one-on-one fight after that. My opponent, XA-Olena.Winnick, however, clearly had more experience than me, and my ship was already somewhat battered. I didn't last long, but I managed to hide the ship among the debris and asteroids."

"Now I have my hands full with repairs. Attaching logs."

Evening Legionnaires,

my orders dictated me to patrol the California system today. Passing Mojave to scout for possible Xeno movement inside the Sierra Ice Field, my scanners picked up the signal of a Navy ship - Specifically, one of the 5th division. It must have patrolled between Mojave and the inactive Jump Gate. Likely a routine check, nothing out of the ordinary. We had a chat and judging from his statements, he does not question the information he receives from his superiors at all. Nonetheless I attempted to inform him that we are, as opposed to his beliefs, not tied to what was the Insurgency. But to no avail.

We were then interrupted by a Xeno, who was probably coming from Ontario, heading towards Fontana. It was about the same time Initiate Crowe arrived to the scene. As soon as the Xeno destroyed the Navy ship, support from both our and the Xeno side arrived and things heated up quickly. Our squad was entangled in a firefight and the chunks of ice made it hard to lock onto a target. As documented in the attachments, we were able to secure multiple kills on the enemy. My Prosecutor was later immobilized by an LPI fighter. Luckily though, the squad was able to retrieve my escape pod and we returned to Inverness.

Lieutenant Struikas, reporting.

Feels nice to have something above an E-1 paygrade for the first time in years. Me and a few others were sent to scramble after hearing word of an HVT in Texas, the LNS Nevada. We arrive on station and begin an albeit brief anti-cap dragnet sweep of the system, only for one of our ships to be greeted by a cargo tender.

.. A cargo tend-- Mother-- Ugh.. I guess any hole's a goal if it means punching up, right..? Anywho, we're also greeted by a Assault Battlecruiser and her escorts, which me and the others easily rid ourselves of the latter before focusing on the big kahuna. It felt nice to have some use for once. However - a LIBNAV SECFLT operator undocked from Houston, and proceeded to try and light me up. We chased him off for the moment, and decided to call it off. I fell back to Beaumont for repairs, and upon undock, found him meandering into the field towards my location. I told him that I was more than willing to settle the score, and engaged him. It.. I'll be honest, it wasn't my finest moment, as I lost to what looked like some nugget they strapped into a Defender. Though given I was loaded to bear with anti-cap munitions, and I ripped him to near shreds before it all came to blows - it wasn't all that bad. I was messed up and decided to bug out back to Beaumont for emergency repairs, but suffered some initial astronics and fire control issues as I was heading back to base through California.. only to be met by the 46th's finest.

I'll.. admit. I was proud of this. I wasn't as good against them as I was against the nugget - but I think you all know these guys are on par with the SOARD. I lost, but it wasn't without again, putting him in a bad place - I could have sworn I saw a wing come right off him as he was in flames.

I had to eject and used the booster on the pod to get me as far as I could into the nearby debris field, calling on a friend to pick me up since the rest of my flight got fucked seven ways to Sunday.

All in all.. a mixed bag, today.

Alright, this' been a few days due, about time I got it done.

On May 22, 34, a squadron composed of me, With, Daniels, Osorio, Callsign Fresnel, Callsign Omega, Callsign Minuteman, Callsign Locksmith, and a technocrat by the Callsign Gwyllion sortied off Valravn and performed threat assessment on California.

During the operation we encountered multiple Liberty Navy vessels, an Aegis bounty hunter pilot, an Insurgency Remnant gunship and a Rogue gunship.
After a short exchange we engaged the Navy vessels, the attached logs and footage provide the necessary context.

"Hell of a battle."

He pauses, briefly looking at the ship's interface before looking back at the camera.

"Freud here. Operation "Clavus Clavo Pellitur" was a success. We did everything exactly according to the script; Liberty did not expect to get hit so close to home. We have their fighter parts, their transport ship, and we gave them a nice slap across the face. The day is ours."

"However. Their men put up more resistance than expected. This was probably the longest fight I have ever taken part in. At first, when Tectarch West, Initiate Ralar and I engaged the escort fighters, and our marines on the "Draugr" under the command of Lieutenant Struikas boarded the transport, it seemed to me that everything was under control. Yet, Liberty's reinforcements arrived and would have torn us to shreds if not for Lieutenant Walters, Commander Rialto and Initiate Storm, who were just in time to support us."

"For most of the battle I was under fire from Jack Boehm. He sat firmly on my tail; all I could do was fire short bursts at priority targets before taking evasive action again."

"At the end of the battle, my ship was on fire and barely holding on, the comms were faulty, and yet the Defender prototype I personally assembled showed an excellent result in the first field test. On my old ship I would have been shot down and perhaps the battle would have ended differently. I also saw Commander Rialto's ship in only slightly better condition than my own. A testament to the tenacity of our opponents in their service to a corrupt regime and the best reminder of the risks we bear."

"You all showed what we are worth. As the one behind organizing this, I couldn't ask for more. And yet, of all of us, I would like to highlight the efforts of Lieutenant Struikas. Nothing we did that day would have mattered without his leadership in capturing that transport."

"This, however, is not all."

"After the op I lingered with Keeper Revenant at the Citadel. We suddenly detected the approach of unidentified objects... And before I could even get my bearings, we were attacked by some strange Nomads. Stranger than usual, that is. They didn't talk and preferred to attack right away. And they moved at such a speed that I could barely track their movements. Despite this, we managed to put them to flight. The pursuit attempt was unsuccessful due to their superior speed."

"Revenant called them 'sentinels'."

"Apparently, this attack was a consequence of the actions of a merc that calls himself 'Caliban'. We chased him all the way to Fontana, to his Xeno masters, where he found shelter."

"Then we checked out that anomaly in Ontario that was causing all the fuss recently. I don’t know why, but as I approached it, I felt two things. First, I wanted to get closer. Secondly, I experienced a severe headache. Hopefully Revenant and her people got something more out of this."

"As for this 'Caliban'... My honest recommendation? Eliminate if the opportunity presents itself. And entrust me with the wreckage of his ship. Perhaps I can get something useful out of it. Freud, out."

"Freud here, with yet another report."

"Was making my way to Barrier Gate Station to pick up some parts for my ship. Ended up bumping into something interesting. That one merc that caused us trouble with Nomads yesterday, speaking with Keeper Revenant and Venus. Seemed like a tense exchange, so I activated cloak and layed low to provie our allies some cover should they need it."

"Yoko arrived a little later, and almost simultaneously the Order's ship was spotted. They quickly dealt with it while I continued hidden surveillance to give the merc something to worry about in case he would decide to stand up for the Order."

"After this, I escorted Revenant back to the Citadel. Venus, however, followed the merc. Revenant sensed something was wrong when Venus didn't show up and we rushed to her aid in Ontario. And just in time: Caliban attacked her. Together we forced him to retreat."

"Then, using cloak, we quietly followed the merc and discovered that he was fiddling with the very anomaly that we examined yesterday. The longer I stayed near this thing, the more my head hurt. It felt like it was being torn apart from the inside. So I left gathering intel to Revenant and concentrated on not dying from the pain."

"My memory of what happened next is somewhat blurred. But we successfully returned to Inverness. There we discovered the MND ship... Out of respect for our allies, I will leave the log of the conversation between Revenant and the pilot of this ship off the record."

"And now about... Something I have done on impulse."

"For the record: despite Keeper Leviathan's generous offer to present this as a favor to him, after some consideration I decided that I should be held accountable for my actions. I went with my gut, and it would be wrong to hide behind someone else's back."

"After returning to the Citadel, we discovered that an unusual visitor was approaching us. Corsair."

"It turned out that Corsair was looking for help for their people who suffered from radiation poisoning. After some negotiations, the Technocracy, represented by Keeper Leviathan, agreed to provide the Corsair with the required means for treatment."

"Considering the long journey that the Corsair had to make... I volunteered to escort them safely back to their people. Which included flying through Bretonian territory."

"I am aware that we should not be in this territory. Still, it seemed important enough to me to make an exception. This could open up new diplomatic opportunities for our allies and save many lives."

"The journey was long but quiet. We have not crossed paths with Bretonian forces or the Outcasts. The only dangers on our way were the inhospitable Omegas."

"We spoke. It was interesting to listen to someone from such a far away place. Their lives are very different from ours, but we are all human. Something that is so easily forgotten."

"I flew back by a roundabout route so as not to tempt fate twice."
