New clan joining Discovery - Doom - 12-19-2006
As member of Colonial Remnant that is already playing here i would like to welcome you on Discovery. CR leader is curently on vacation and I am filling his place until he comes back. I am sure that we can work together in the future.
And now some information about us:
- we are young faction that is building our fleet atm.
- we use Planetform ID
- cause of server rules and our current roleplay we dont have our home base or system - remeber that we are searching for new home
- however the place that we are spend most of our days is Cambridge
- we roleplay both millitary and civilian fleet
- :)remeber that there is battlestar galactica already on this server, as well as its CAG.

Hey all, I met Warhammer yesterday on the server when he asked us who likes BSG. Reading the replys of everyone and especially the one of Doom, i think its a cool idea to fuse together.

Actually, I believe a recent "communique" of the CR Command mentioned something about weak signals being received from a possible surviving Colonial vessel.
....what if the surviving vessel should turn out to be half a dozen vessels.. a second "mini" rag tag fleet?

Supernova, I don't think they are anything like CUFF, CUff was here many moons ago and they left because we all got so pissed they left, or soemthing like that.
Now CUFF is back. These Battlestar guys just seam like Honest Folk here from a diff server to have fun.

Don't forget that half the server was hunting their butts down to extinction..
Also, Nova don't assume that jsut because they have = = around their tag that they are CUFF.. Many factions do symbols for tags, and you can only have so many variations.
The BSG being a mainly BSG-capships faction would actually work pretty well with CR. CR use more fighters than caps, so BSG would be the heavy hitters, while CR is more mobile, allowing them to do more against Cylons.
@WolfPack; Maybe they are doing that good... Because their ships are nigh-unhittable?

I've reached another destination in my holiday road trip so I can speak on this for a few days.
Thats great that there are more BSG fans interested in the disco server. Warhammer it looks as if your clan is quite a bit more established than ours. Do you have a website with some of your history? Discovery is a fairly hard-core role playing community so if there is to be any new relationship in the small BSG chapter we have begun here there should be some brainstorming.
I like the idea of 'finding' another rag tag fleet as a way of introducing the new players to the server, but have you thought beyond that? You say your clan is a military one, whereas ours has just as many civilian trading vessels as it does military vessels. I recommend taking a look at our faction status post to begin with (see my sig,) and we can see how we differ and how we might work together on this.
I'm always interested in balance with our small Cylon contingent and a heavy influx of Colonial Warriors might hurt that. Sid is very picky about who becomes a Cylon so his recruiting is always slow.
Anyways, keep the ideas comming.

I have one thing to say...This is a Freelancer server we have one BSG based clan and do not need another.. Sorry Warhammer nothing personal but one is enough I watch BSG but I do not wanna play BSG...
And btw Dab you are beyond right, cylon raiders are unhittable without dodging a cylon raider can avoid a GB and a Raven Claw without much hardship....
