RE: [Official Event] Roussillon Waltz - Darius - 07-24-2025 Jazzi, there are no Maquis players right now save for the scattered PvP loggers that appear only occasionally. Trying to comm such a faction in such a short window of time will net you only disappointment. Two, the Gaians have been fundamental to the development of the current Royalist and Maquis factions in the region of Roussillon and Edinburgh -- they are as tied together as they can possibly be. Third, and this is a little bit on the speculative side, but nonetheless still relevant with the lessons of the past in mind, but, and I hate to break it to you, Royalists have pretty much dominated Every. Single. Event. they've been in. Unless there's somehow a desire to repeat the Omicron Delta event, where there were, essentially at all active hours, a minimum of 6-7 very well coordinated faction ships around up against 1-2 unfortunate indies, the Gaians have to be factored in (though I am fairly confident that even with that mind it'll be difficult enough to rally folks up). RE: [Official Event] Roussillon Waltz - Chronicron - 07-24-2025 Non-event IDs are in no way, shape or form are forbidden from participating. Gaians may still tag along and do their thing. If you want the bonus, however, you'll have to give me sufficient inRP material. Even if there's "virtually non-existent number of Maquis players" out there. Have it like this. Gaians will have a week before the event starts to provide us with sufficient roleplay around the situation in Roussillon. If you are this concerned that there will indeedly be no Maquis presence (Even though what the hell stops you from making a Maquis character?) - I'll see what can be done. I am not going to crash an event I am not intended to participate in. That's just bad form and outright sabotage of the side I'd be trying to support. This is a story arc that has been at the core of the Gaian story development since the mod began nigh on 20 years ago. Story did not have the Coalition beg to participate in Dublin. They did not have Crayter or Militants beg to be included in Inverness. They did not have Hogosha beg to be included in the relic event. The list goes on. Why do we have to beg to be included in our own story arc? (07-24-2025, 05:14 PM)Lord Caedus Wrote:Quote:Maybe I should... That is also a good point I didn't really want to bring up to not kick a fellow suffering ID. This is not an event involving highly populated factions with highly active playerbases. Just three forgotten IDs with one dusty player between them getting their once-in-a-century place in the spotlight. There is no organic activity on any of the factions involved for people to build off of. There's nothing anyone can reasonably put together outside a simple "hey can we come" "yeah sure" with the first Maquis indie I manage to run into. Is that really the sort of throwaway slop you want to force people to put out? I'm sure I could do that, don't get me wrong, but what's the point? And more importantly, why do I have to do it to begin with? (07-24-2025, 05:29 PM)Chronicron Wrote: (Even though what the hell stops you from making a Maquis character?) Comical. RE: [Official Event] Roussillon Waltz - Couden - 07-24-2025 How's the current PVE reward works now? RE: [Official Event] Roussillon Waltz - Amba - 07-24-2025 Somehow The Royalists Have Returned RE: [Official Event] Roussillon Waltz - Weapon - 07-24-2025 You're going to have a lot more Maquis show than you think. But the Gaians need their seat at the table as per the continuation of their story arc. RE: [Official Event] Roussillon Waltz - Chocola - 07-24-2025 Make GRN Great Again |
