Very good observation, good job!
I find it pity no one has mentioned how obsolete battleships have become. Except for sieges, they shouldn't be flown at all since they are heavily outclassed by the battlecruisers and cruisers.

In pre 5.0 anything or pre-cap change this that etc, there was a golden rule for caps. Assume he is using EK, for EK is a godsend in baiting and dodging. EK is also most visible for GB and Cruisers, if you spot someone drifting while turning (this was very common to bait razor and mortar shots etc) then you can assume he is in EK, because moment you shoot at him, he just thrusts away and you miss. Which is why you used things like SABF and BBF to shoot where you think he will go next, rather than where he is currently drifting to.

This I disagree with, EK and use of counter/U turns proved who was better (aim also, but better movement was more important). Players like Vlad, Thunder, TGA, Val, Taurus, Gagadug, Moonwalker, etc were the best of all cap players in middle guard era of 2012-2018, why? Cause they knew how to use EK to their advantage vs the guy who didn't. EK might be not "fun" to play with/against, but this I think is just a skill gap, not a balance screw up.

This isn't correct either, EK was very handy for dodging in both fleet fights, and 1 v 1. Mostly handy against people who would try to shoot at you, because they think "Oh this guy is flying in a straight line/drifting in a straight line, easy shot" meanwhile, you are actually expecting them to shoot their HM, razor, mortar FWG whatever, and you dodge it. It would waste their energy core for baiting a shot that you knew would never hit you, this was use of EK on cruisers.
This is mostly opinionated and my experience with this topic.
