' Wrote:Umm no it isnt just luck, I have been having the same problem in Alpha killing BH's on missions. I only get pilots from the Cruisers. I hardly ever get them from the fighters anymore. I have also go so far as to carefully whittle an NPC down and killed him with great care thinking that I was perhaps shooting the loot. Turns out I got a gun, no pilot, no credit card.

it happens, but i do agree that it is pretty crazy how much stuff gets destroyed, and how little the ships drop.

It can depend on the weapons you are using. Torps, missiles and mines and any other explosive that goes off near a dead ship often kills most of the contents. I found this out by swapping from missiles to guns and back again against low level NPC's. Maybe I had just killed it when the second warhead arrived?
I'm not honestly sure.
I have noticed however that there are now, more than ever, a lot more missile/torpedo jockeys which might explain the percieved increase in this effect as well.
You'll have to be your own judge on that one, as you know your loadout at the time this happened.

Adv Debs, Kraken 1's and 2's. No mines used, no mines dropped in proximity to my test dummy. I dunno I'll try it again tonight and get a broader sampling, but I suspect the results to be similar as this has only happened since the beta 7 update.

I've certainly not been dropping mines with my battlecruiser OR with my gunboat. As Zero said, this is something that I will check tonight.

One thing that I also have noticed is that npc's are showing up with more of a full server load as well.
