I support freedom of movement of capital ships... but why would anyone want to trade in one?

Well i'd support most of it.

As long as its within your ZOI.

Then again... Trading zoner juggernaughts does seem plausible if their trading in the edge worlds.

The way I see it, for house powers to be trading in there caps is extremely OORP, since it would be the Military doing it and corporations can transport much more cargo, much faster and with less cost, that and doesn't each house have a war where the caps are needed?

Capital ships tradings is like metagaming. Sure there is no rule that impedes you from doing so, but what navy would use their cap ships for trading, when there is a war going on out there. I say it should not be allowed except for the sausager frigate or whatever its name.:)
Do you see the USS ronald reagan full of consumer goods?

Metagaming would be the wrong word for it. Metagaming is using information you know, but your character shouldn't know to gain an advantage. I know metagame has become a popular word on the forums recently, but let's not just go throwing it around willy-nilly.

Other than that, I think rather than capital ships trading goods to dangerous places it makes more sense for them to escort large convoys to said places. After all, they are war ships, not really traders...
