I agree with the "Don't do that just to dock" (emphasis mine) part, definitely. But I strongly object to the part "it is SERIOUSLY OORP for a sirian to be Green with gallic lawfuls.".
For instance, the Gallic Lawfuls don't hate Kusari civilians by default. And it's perfectly possible, while doing what I would consider appropriate role play, to GET green with them because of the twisted and convoluted nature of interlinked reputations.
As I understand "Role Playing", unless we're all supposed to be following a central script (in which case could someone point me to where my lines are) rather than writing our own stories, it's perfectly possible for people who are actually trying to role play to not be Gallic and still be "green" with Gallic lawfuls. Especially by accident because of the convoluted and, to me, impenetrable spaghetti mess that is "reputation".
Unless you're saying that it's never considered appropriate for someone, in their role-play, to take missions, pay bribes, or do any other other multitude of actions that are available within the game? Some of which have... unintended consequences.
