the heavy feel is deliberate. the standard platform (with 4 turret mounts) is twice the size of the current weapon platforms, due to the fact that they have inhabitable areas inside (well, not exactly living, but mainly for maintenance/setting up very temporary outposts for scanning/monitoring movements etc.)

the heavy feel fits in with the gallic line becuase if you remember, the gallic caps are classed as heavy caps (look at the valor. its a pretty heavy battleship in terms of armour, firepower and powerplant)

Oh ok ! makes sense now. But I think you should work on the texture for the windows. I think they really look like buttons or something like that.

Are ships docking by the squares for connecting to another weapon platform?

I'm thinking that a weapon platform in which you can dock kinda defeats the point of calling it a weapon station. I think the point was turrets than can stay at some place all the time without ever leaving and blowing up enemies as soon as there's one. And to blow up without anyone to die.

Remember, Gallia was cut off from the rest of Sirius for over 800 years. Its possible 'nuf that they do things differently there. I know I'd personaly prefer heavy manned guns over light unmanned guns.

The most important part was

"I'm thinking that a weapon platform in which you can dock kinda defeats the point of calling it a weapon station"

So maybe the gallia weapon stations should be named a different way if we are to use your model

Size comparison to the current Gallic Weapons Platforms as well as the tall x-shaped ones you fight on missions would be much appreciated. Just how "heavy" is this?

Considering that that window model is the same one use for Gallic caps and stations Sirius wide..

Hehehe. Like little lego bricks, they fit together to make larger platforms. I could just see a wall of these babies. Now THAT would be scary! Oh, what a wonderful idea for the Bastille, actually... hehehe.

Interesting model, overall. I like the concept of the modular, connectable weapons platforms.

ok fine, since all the damn windows looks like button in whole surius just keep them as they are! And make them dockable since it's cool!

whatever

Woah, calm down man.

Whats your deal? If you can provide an alternative that you're willing to reskin all of the original models and any new ones with step up. I genuinely hope that was mock attitude, if it wasn't though?

I'd like to see some productive reasoning.
