but that would just be sad.
Blood Dragons are no longer allies with the LR or OC... so no more Dragon Flies on anything but BD Ships. Also, your Gunboat would only be able to fire two or so missiles, then it would be out of energy.

Are you thinking of shields or hull? Because torps and other explosives need to hit the shield generator to cause shield damage.

Known bug, no fix possible since its a little quirk of the game engine.

my nova torps work fine on bretonian battle ships.. and yet vary rarely damage the sheilds of lux liners....

No, I'm talking about HULL damage. Haven't your shiny RNC-Thor been torped yet? Because I noticed it on RM Battleship too.

...oh and yes, here comes another issue - no shield damage either. I forgot about that one.

Nova Torps are hopelessly underpowered.

At the same time they are hard to shoot down and when they hit say.... cruiser class, they rip off guns quick. They are bad enough for cruisers that I will intentionally kill the bomber carrying them before I will go after a snac bomber. The shield thing does hurt them.

not underpowered by any means, just weak on shields and nasty on hull.

Blood Dragon Tech is very limited.

GC/BD only. Outcast should be deleted as they are no longer bd allies.

Still not nasty enough on hull given the facts they do no shield damage, are difficult to purchase, cost 5,000 each, are less likely to hit than SN, are limited, are dangerous to use for the operator and I could go on and on....

Their hull damage should be doubled, maybe that would compensate for all those drawbacks.

yeah it was a joke...i hate missile turrets.

bombers need slightly larger powerplants....my recycler stinks

torpedo energy cost - AJBeast - 07-09-2009

I would hardly call the Recycler a "bomber". Its more of a SHF in my opinion. Or a big brick capable of soaking up a crapload of damage. That works too.

I vote we take its SN capaiblity and boost its agility. Then we can fly it with dual MRs! Hurr hurr

Our LR pilots who choose to use Nova Torpedoes do pretty well with them. They fire them from a distance to give them time to track, and only fire them when the hull is exposed. They also give a /setmsg warning in group chat when they are about to fire their torpedoes to prevent team killing. Nova Torpedoes work best against large targets or stationary targets.
