But nommies are 70% energy. Overload anyone?

So its like hijacking a nomads ship with AI. I thought nomads were organic> how would the AI interact with such a...a creature? There is a broad gap between artificial intellegence and true organic beings.

Theoretically they'd have to hack into telepathic-based mindshare to divert the control. Fat chance. Two different worlds there, they don't work well together, ask Balthazzar from Harvesters if you want to know more. Technically AI's (Harveys, etc) can't "hear" Nomads and vice versa unless through a "middle-man" solutions like infested human or cybernetically "enhanced" human speaking for Nomads and AIs respectively, otherwise there is complete incompatibility. Bottom line: there can be no infested AIs and AI hijacked Nomads without contradicting established RP models.

A robot hijacking a Nomad ship. Hm. Might work, although certainly not with a model like this and without a *really* good story.

Oh, and I really don't think doing something like this would be easy. You'd have to emulate your own "Mindshare", you'd have to use extremely advanced biotechnology, etc etc. You may justify one of these...things which has been created for research purposes, but certainly not a fleet of combat-worthy Nomad AI drones.

Nomad Drone - Elsdragon - 07-10-2009

*is grabbed*

*blasts thingie with the 70% energy*

*goes on*

Nomad Drone - Cellulanus - 07-10-2009

This makes about as much sense as a civilian battleship.

Nomad Drone - Karlotta - 07-10-2009

I like it.

Nomad Drone - Pinko - 07-10-2009

This? It'd backfire.

EDIT: Goodness, Karlotta, change that sig! Too big, AND Inappropriate!

Nomad Drone - Turkish - 07-10-2009

The only plausible way for a piece fo technology to itneract on a telepathic level would be if humans had managed to isolate the frequency or nature of the telepathic communications of the Nomad network, mindshare.

Which I would assume to not be impossible but highly improbably and beyond their scope for ane extended amount of time. Its like trying to jack a plug into a radio signal with no understand of how it broadcasts. Interesting idea but unworkable.

Plus the model needs a lot of work.

Yep, I agree... even now..1 human brain cell equals to a hell lot of super computers, even though we cant really use it, I dont think any AI, could EVER control something organic and intelligent, like the nomads are, not even saying that they're mostly energy. This model, and idea, going nowhere...
