Personally...I dont really like it. But, improvements: new texture and put the actual gun closer to the stand.
Also, how many pollys on it? It looks very round.

I'm lovin' it , I really am. It would look a litle more freelancer-ish if the canon was a litle closer to the base. If it had a Rogue-ish texture it would look awsome too.

A beautiful concept, but for some logic, it needs some slight revision.

But I digress, I adjusted the model a bit, made the mounts 'stockier', and gave it a power cable running up to the cannon:

Excuse, but that looks absurd. Especially for a space-game. Using the model of a 17th century cannon just doesnt fit at all.
//edit: And it doesnt look FL-ish.
