Why Alpha is hardly invaded. - Friday - 07-20-2009

Whilst Alpha might not be invaded daily - Beta is going to hot up.

Since the decline in activity in Sigma-13 due to economic restructuring, the GMG has been looking for something to do.

We just found it....

The trick is how to generate a reasonable degree of action and excitement on both sides without degenerating into lolwuttery.

Going straight trough a minefield is difficult?

Hunters live in Delta now. They are in a much better position to invade Gamma than Alpha.

I honestly see no reason at all for indies to have capships.
How in roleplay would one pilot non military *factioned* be able to obtain a capship, its like me walking up to the navy and asking to buy a battleship .. its not gonna happen.

And yes factions need more power.

The same problem is with Corsair cap spam. The reason it is i guess is that such pirate factions "powerful" ones are the most attractive for newcomers including those who hardly speak english (even worst then I do, can you belive that?:D). And restrictions in RM and other nice factions do not helps to change things as they are now.

Constant Gamma raidas.. I really like then RoS comes. Alright, perhaps we get all smashed by them sometimes, but that a hell is fun.

And to comapre with recent events.. cap whoring dock camping outcast fleet... in front of gamma is no fun :/

There is a good military term called 'cannon fodder'

You send them out first to soften up the enemy.

Whilst it might be somewhat embarrassing for such a waste of resources, it might be a valuable lesson for some of the capwhores...

I wish when I invaded Alpha there were this many caps.. more interesting fight. For one raid we brought 2 Osiri, 3 Legate, 4 bombers, 1 GB. They brought 13 Falcata -_-

Outcasts as such cannot really be attacked, in RP, Malta is HEAVELY guarded, the indie capspam is just an addition. You'd need to add cap patrols near the planet as well, really.

As for the minefield.

Just because you have a healthbar ingame, doesn't mean ytou have one if you were there....

All in favor to allow factions control capital ships?

All in favour of agreeing with Sindroms? *Raises hand*

The reason the Outcasts are so popular is because they can go anywhere in the houses, they have allies everywhere and can tax and smuggle anywhere. Corsairs are limited somewhat, can't go in Liberty, Gallia, Taus, and also Rheinland to some extent.

Well, BHG, Corsair and Outcast.

Seem to be the most capspammers...
