For the SCRA - Altaris - 07-26-2009 ' Wrote:I want to join them too to try out their equipment...but the ideology of the SCRA goes against everything I believe in. Actually trying to take over house governments to take over houses, fighting pirates to protect civilians of future Coalition etc? I think that concept is quite nice. I just dont like their friendship with Rheinland pirates, but that is all. For the SCRA - Heartless - 07-26-2009 ' Wrote:Ehm then why dont you play Open Singleplayer? oh I have, and I sometimes do. I fly open sp for a lot of factions to try out their ships and figure out what I want in disco:) For the SCRA - Klaw117 - 07-27-2009 ' Wrote:Actually trying to take over house governments to take over houses, fighting pirates to protect civilians of future Coalition etc? I think that concept is quite nice. The Coalition is communist and my parents escaped from Communist China. Does that answer your question? ' Wrote:Ehm then why dont you play Open Singleplayer? It's not the same as on the server. You're all alone on Open SP. For the SCRA - Turkish - 07-27-2009 ' Wrote:The Coalition is communist and my parents escaped from Communist China. Does that answer your question? The Coalition isn't actually communist, they just model themselves on historic communist parties and the like. There is a difference in their conduct and alignment than that of say Stalinist Russia or "Communist China". What the hell does China have with SCRA and Discovery. For the SCRA - Magoo! - 07-27-2009 ZomG t3n4c1ty, y u intrud3 on t3h COA systm?!?!?!1?!!/111?! Anywho, fancy video. Nice music. But... Wtf? They have a flying submarine? For the SCRA - bluntpencil2001 - 07-27-2009 ' Wrote:The Coalition isn't actually communistProceed to Re-Education Centre Delta Seven. For the SCRA - Turkish - 07-27-2009 ' Wrote:Proceed to Re-Education Centre Delta Seven. Yes sir, right away sir, will my family be okay, sir? *bows head and gets walking* Its was a comparison of actual states which have declared themselves communist, even though falsely, as opposed to the Coalition which seeks a different cause than they would or did Goran. I still don't get the flyign Sub though... For the SCRA - Tenacity - 07-27-2009 The flying sub is awesome. I like it for the same reason that I like the WW2 style put into some of the gallic ships... steampunk spaceship design ftw. For the SCRA - Klaw117 - 07-27-2009 While the Coalition in StarLancer was portrayed as the totalitarian communism today that we know of, the Coalition in Freelancer seems to be the form of communism that Karl Marx originally intended. Judging by the RP in the forums, the SCRA doesn't seem into totalitarianism. Although...blunt's post about re-education kind of freaks me out. Overall, I dislike communism because the nature of humanity (greed) causes it to fail (don't get me wrong, pure, completely unregulated capitalism has failed also due to greed, but not on the degree that communism has). But enough of this... Is that submarine-ish ship the cruiser or the gunboat? Also...why does it look like that? The Coalition is one of the leaders in science and technology (Russians and Asians have been known to be smart. Also, they invented warp technology first in StarLancer). Wouldn't they have more elegant-looking ships? The rugged-ness, while it does shout "For the Revolution," doesn't really show advancement in science and technology in my opinion. |
