Setting up a Salvager Frigate - Exsiled_one - 08-21-2009 hey for 600 a scrap in Pittlit you get moar per hour than few of us that dare to trade in corsair chars.. yea! Setting up a Salvager Frigate - Tenacity - 08-21-2009 At the pittsburgh field, I make just under 2 million per full load of scrap metal that I bring in. It takes roughly 5-10 minutes, depending on if I'm chatting with others nearby or having to deal with oorp attacks, to fill up my cargo hold. At most, that's 24 million per hour, but it averages closer to 15-16 an hour. My smuggling routes make 25-30 million per hour, take less concentration, and oddly have less risk of attack. Bring more Hfuel to Cadiz Setting up a Salvager Frigate - Robert.Fitzgerald - 08-21-2009 5 turrets, a missile would work. 3 razors, 2 pulse and a missile would work also. Mounting two missiles are a waste, especially so on the light powercore gunboats (salvager, bounty hunter gunship, etc). The salvager has 4 turrets that can face forward or backward, one that is forward only, and one that is rear only. My setup put the missile turrets on the latter two hardpoints, so that I wouldnt waste energy by firing two missiles at a time, but could fire them both at targets ahead of me as well as back at pursuers. Setting up a Salvager Frigate - Robert.Fitzgerald - 08-21-2009 My salvager has 4 turrets forward, 5 backwards and the missile facing forward. You can even mount the missile on the rear mount, and press ' to fire it and it'll curve around and hit the target ahead of you. Setting up a Salvager Frigate - AJBeast - 08-21-2009 My Frigate has 4 Solarises on the tips and 2 missiles on the front only/back only slots. It works preety well on fighters, but then again , if you are using the Salvager against anything bigger than a bomber you are doing it wrong:P EDIT: Ok , maybe , just MAYBE you could take out a GB with an anti-fighter setup if you had an anti-cap setup. Setting up a Salvager Frigate - Exsiled_one - 08-21-2009 back to bringing Hfuel to Cadiz Setting up a Salvager Frigate - rendar1970 - 08-24-2009 So Ive been playing with some of these builds alot and here is basically what I found for me. 5 zoner turrets and 1 Missile turret: Pretty much destroys all enemy npc and pc fighters and bombers. But then got in a fight with 2 transports, and a different fight with a gunboat and I got ate alive. 2 pulse, 3 razor, 1 missile: This one a much harder time with fighters but I was eating Transports alive and even got a gb to flee from me when I drop his shields and took his hull to half. So basically Ive found a fantastic anti-fighter, and a fantastic anti-cap. However I still think for me, I would be happier with a more middle ground approach. So here is what I was thinking. 4 zoner turrets on the sides, missile turret on the back, and the front either a pulse, or a cerberus. I need to experiment to see which would better for me. The missile turret helps with fighters, the zoner turrets are pretty good at fighters and transports, not the best on caps but good enough for me. So i basically need to see which would work better for me, the pulse to take the shields down faster in the begining of the fight, or a cerberus for use at the end of the fight to help take down that hull. Whats your opinion guys? |
