Wha, endgame? then I'm never reaching it.
Btw, lvl 84 in month and half, only piracy and short smuggling (nothing to liberty or tokyo).
Endgame for me is never out there. Piracy, helping OPG grow to something even more respectable, changing the discovery server, helping dusty change mining with proposals, things like that etc.
Endgame for me is when i run out of free time to play this because RL has caught up.

Green melon is good.
Yellow melon is better.
Freelancer discovery doesn't work in the same linear direction games like WoW do, "end-game" is not an issue. If you are desperate to have a battleship, then go for it. A battleship however, does not equal end-game viability. If you want a WoW equivalent, it is a destruction specced imp-sacrificing warlock with permanent hamstring but bosslevel hp. Just like a boss, people will take you down. Over and over again. You sacrifice a lot to have that firepower, armour and size.
The best way to make trading interesting is, as mentioned above, to RP your trader. An ALG plutonium hauler making top dollar but with a significantly increased mortality and a wife who isn't happy with his retirement plan, a smuggler that is borderline autistic, three sisters in business together running synthetic marijuana and one of whom that samples the product to the contempt of the others. Just because your trader is in a playerfaction does not automatically give it gold-plated RP.
Alt-tab less, system chat more.
mini-Edit: Productivity hint; don't go through Liberty and keep an eye on where players are in the chat board. If you see OPG in Leeds, don't go to ~:@:@@~:PP@:KN.

Your choice if you want to fly a battleship. Personally, if I had one it would just sit gathering dust. Even my two gunboats (Liberty Navy one and a Freelancer ID'd Explorer) just gather dust. I find that flying a fighter is much more enjoyable.

I keep my big mouth shut, try to fly leaving as small a footprint as possible, hopefully no one notices me. Its all about the profit. Sure I lose a trade or two, like I just got pirated by someone really stupid who didnt want my money but shot all my cargo (he too kwhat he could carry and shot the rest), but basically its still a living.
So yeah how do I increase profits?

There is no endgame. You do not need a Battleship. If you really want one, suck it up and do the time. I've been here nearly a year, still havn't got even a Cruiser, yet I've blown up countless Battleships/Cruisers/Whatever and had fun doing it. You don't need to have a Battleship to have fun. I'd suggest that if you seriously feel that's what you need to enjoy the game, you don't get one. Ever. This being an RP server and all, it seems illogical that you would find a WOMD necessary to enjoy it.

The game is not about getting money....or codeweapons....
It's about Roleplay, that is what creates the fun. I'd rather have a good Role Play while pirating than getting 20 Million of it and be bored.

Too bad there aint no goldsellers/game time codes to sell for freelancer.

He seems to think this is WoW or Guild Wars or whatever game has given him his impression of online gaming. Reality is, it is a poor game when you can get to the point that you have the best weapons, armour, maxed skills etc., and except for the thousands of other people who also have the same, you are the 'elite'. This is what I believe he thinks of when he refers to endgame.

Actually, by my calculations, if I powertraded with the ship I have right now for the next 10 days, I could afford everything I ever wanted.
