As well as earn some by looting the Hvy. CM ammo from those using them.

I got stopped by a Kusari Dessie in my Firefly, it started spamming CDs non stop. I had a Heavy CM and it drained my powerplant in seconds.
The advantages a Heavy has over an Enhanced isn't much, especially when you have no energy to fire them.
Heavy CMs are Capital Ship Countermeasures, they're worthless to be used on anything less. Even Gunboats should probably use Enhanced.

Just gonna throw this in there...
Heavy CMs are capital ship countermeasures, with a lot more hitpoints built in (to resist capital ship explosives). They take up more energy than a fighter has, and can barely be fired by most bombers.
Enhanced CMs are made for fighters. I always use Heavy on capitals, and Enhanced on fighters. For transports, it's really up to you: if you want the extra hitpoints, go for it.

I do not use any usually, better for training. But I mount enh ones, or even advanced. Cheap. Heavy is for wealthy people.
