Heh, I dont think you've ever dealt with the npc's we get out here in the omicrons.
I have an order carrier, with a battleship grav shield... and the nomad assassin squads can burn me down if I neglect them for long enough. We arent dealing with little outcast daggers or rogue hyenas here =/
Not to mention the nomad battleship and gunboat spawns... *shudders thinking about dealing with those in a transport*

I personally fly a Firefly and have no trouble fighting off NPC's.
Now, before you post that you can't use Bretonian ships, it's info card only says that it is BUILT there.
Also note that there are only two places you can get it; Planet Cambridge and Barrier Station (Coronado), which just happens to be a Freelancer base....
3500 cargo and 8 turrets to fight with, the right turret setup is.... interesting.
Other than that, there is always the BW transport...

Then your problem is that you suck in your carrier, my Liner goes everywhere and the only problems i get from the nomads is when a GB shows and even that isn't too bad

yes yes, resort to insults, obviously the reason ganksquads of nomad assassins can burn down my shields is because "i suck".

Let me get this, You want a transport that is as good or better than a cruiser in defense and possibly offense?
And if i can survive in a liner better than you can in a Cruiser i would say your piloting skills are down a lot.

Well to the transport: I saw people trading in Liberty Battlecruisers already, but I think this is not what you want. Try out the suggested ships and which serves best against the Nomands there.

Heh, I havent seen any lib bc's trading, but I have done a couple trade runs in my order carrier... not very effective considering I have less than 1k cargo.

I stand by my initial suggestion of the CTrans. Built in Kusari, it's a tank and has a lot of cargo. It's a big target, but difficult to CD.
