Ummm - Drake - 09-13-2009 The Hellfire Legion has been around, with its Liberty capships, since before I came around (which was June, 07). That's longer than the vast majority of current players, with the exception of a few true oldbies who're still around. Hey, it worked for the Order and the Osiris. :P Ummm - Elven - 09-13-2009 Its all ok. Read Hellfire story.. Ummm - reavengitair - 09-13-2009 I believe that they have a pretty good RP reason to have them. I think thats their only one too? Ummm - Thurgret - 09-13-2009 To the OP: Have you ever even attempted to RP with [HF]? Seeing that carrier, did your character react in an appropriate manner, or was your first thought to come to the forum? Ummm - Denelo - 09-13-2009 Pretty simple. Basically, way back in 4.84, I believe, the LN/SA was run by a guy named Zepphos. He played a completely corrupt character (who actually later became the Phantom Corruption). Basically, we got the carrier as part of a peace deal with him. There's a whole long RP story on it. Use the search function next time. But for now, for all your lazy people, here. The RP Story. I think you'll find this part of interest. ' Wrote:... ' Wrote:... ' Wrote:... Do your own homework next time. Ummm - Corsair - 09-13-2009 What defectee would use a ship from the faction he's defecting from? Then they can find him and assassinate him. In this case, why use one of the biggest ships in the LN? That draws too much attention. It's just an excuse to say, "Well, I defected. So I can use whatever the frak I want." However, you may note that HF has a bit of a taste for Liberty ships, but we can't get them much. As ex-Navy, most of us actually consider them superior to what we have at the moment, and we're eager to get our hands on them and "upgrade" them. Currently, HF has two Libertonian ships: The Carrier, and an LABC that I believe is named the Setting Sun or something like that. Ummm - Violette - 09-14-2009 I like it actually, stop being so sensitive... :) Ummm - Agmen of Eladesor - 09-14-2009 And this thread need not continue any more... there's a reason why you ask people either in game, or use the faction search button. Don't EVEN think of starting something that resembles a trial by forum... |
