I have to say, part of the problem is that there are long runs through Rheinland. There are a few amazing routes between Bretonia and Rheinland, but they have been stereotyped as being pirate-camped (Which they just might be) and are rarely ran. This doesn't really help our case as pirates because no traders really want to run through because "Corsairs will get me 100% of the time".

Another thing is time-zones. I get home at 8:00pm, GMT -5. I somehow doubt I'll see you Germans when I get home, as much as I'd like to (opportunity to practice German!? Heck yeah!). I've heard that during Aussie and Eastern Europe hours, Rheinland is booming, but during EST hours, I can't say the LWB has met many people.

Changing the Embargo for incoming goods is possible.

Or more like making it a common rule to let goods in, not like it is now.
The pilots in the field decide if we need it. Mostly metals and goods which can not be manipulated.

Seeing the problem at the bad connection via jumpholes is also a good hint.
Lets see some other points:)

I am off to Bed good night everyone.

Since the diamond/niobium run was removed, traffic has dried up. Good routes are through Omega 7/3 but thats a risky proposition. There are a few routes to Kusari, not brilliant yields but they are there. There are probably more to Liberty and vice versa.
The war may not have been such a brilliant idea for system population and trade.
I'm sure with the military numbers the RM and Libertonians have, it seemed like a great idea at the time but traders probably just can't be bothered with the hassle. Hamburg/Texas are bottle necks where it's easy to catch blockade runners. If traders can't be bothered, the traffic dies. If that dies, theres fewer pirates because theres less reward. Fewer pirates and smugglers mean less reason for border patrols and anti-pirate excercises, including bounty hunters and the like.
In the end, all thats left is the war between the Rheinland and Liberty militarys which only they will turn up for, while the interest lasts.

I would suggest increasing profits for runs between Kusari and Rheinland a small percentage to encourage routes from New Berlin through Frankfurt and Sigma 13 into Kusari and vice versa. Afterall, theres a war on!
Prices should rise as imports that once came from Liberty now come from Kusari and from Bretonia to Kusari, now come from Rheinland.
That should get activity going for the Blood Dragons again and Bundschuh.
Make the run from Bretonia to Rheinland a little shorter or more way stations along the run for protection for traders.
While your at it. Look at the commodity list for Munich. Try to make it a little more apealing possibly?
Oh...and shrink the system. About 20%.

I do Belive some of this is the OPG's fault, I mean, thats why Bretonia/Rhienland isnt done. Everything already goes thru liberty, and a Lot of routes are cut off because of wars. Many things add up, But all they do is make ZBT cardislave more appeasling

I will be back in rhienland with Hugo Hirschfield, returning from leave on RNC-Aachen (that will be my char name, look for me)

Only about 1.1 billion more credits to powertrade first.

See how things work?

Send all donations to [ZF]VAL-Marvin please:)

Anyways, Rhienland and Kusari are rather dead since the Niobium > Diamond route died. I had a Kusari Bomber Lawful char and I was so bored I changed him to a xeno...

There needs to be trade routes that are profitable going to and coming from EVERY house.

The Jumphole system needs to be tweaked.

Oh, and I've been planning to make a certain Rheinland character in a faction that needs activity for a while, once I delete another character.

Speaking from the perspective of the Voksfront, it is often difficult to find anything to do. As it has been previously noted, where traders gather - so do pirates - and so does the law. A lack of traders in Rheinland often kills the player activity. This makes it tedious to log on, often only to be drawn into heckling members of the law (Boring!). A large portion of the VF resides in PST (GMT-8) making it difficult sometimes for event participation. We've all been extremely busy of late, and hopefully will be on more. Before, the RRA skype channel used to enable cross-faction organization, but it's become an outlet of flood.

As Ben noted, Rheinland is indeed the crappiest of all the houses for JH's. The Bundschuh have 3 bases, Bruschal, Cloppenfail, and Failmann. As you may have percieved, we only use one. The size, design, and location of JH's make Rheinland an awkward place.

All in all, I'd recommend maybe a couple smaller runs to be placed, as well as a serious revision of the maps.

Ok, I haven't read everyone's posts yet but I would recommend you restart the Rheinland Bounty Board to attract BHG/FLs/Mercs to Rheinland. I've checked the bounty board index and niether the [RM] nor the RFP have a bounty board (anymore).

Diamonds and Niobium run.

Embargo.

(Furthermore, I just sold my RH bomber.)

I'm currently avoiding Rhienland like the plague mostly because of several problems:

1) Jumphole routes. Though I don't think this is as big a problem as most people think. I agree that Dresden is an awesome system, but I also like Munich just as much. Eh.

2) Faction allegiances. BIG problem. All the pirate factions are either allied or neutral. When asked why, most will say because they're Rhienland patriots and blah blah. Rhienland has to be the only house that doesn't have competing pirate factions or some other internal fighting going on. And when all the pirate factions are all lovey dovey, people just pick the biggest one and go for it. Bundechuh and Unioners could be very different, but currently they are simply flavors of Hessians.

3) Trade routes. Also mentioned in this thread. I just don't know what goes in and what goes out. Liberty was the main trader of goods for Rhienland, but now it seems like I could just skip Rhienland and be done with it.
