This ugly trend is in opposite proportion to the number of the primary/high school classes and exams. No offence to all those youngish guys out there that are great RP-ers and spend a lot of time on developing their skills here. I'm talking about those that come here to spend some time over vacations and measure the amount of the fun they have buy the number of people who's fun they manage to ruin...

In other words, vaction influxes trolling.

Maybe people just tend to see the things they're looking for...for the past week, I've seen a bit of crap, but mostly I've seen people keeping with RP conventions same as always.

"Disco's going to the dogs" type threads are a dime a dozen & simply not true. The sky never actually falls, & Waldo is hiding right in front of our faces in plain sight...all you gotta do is look harder & ignore the distractions.

I don't believe that it is getting worse, I just think that the level of RP expected by most people has increased.

I mean, some people get pissed off when people use system instead of local. Meh.

Anyway, sanction them! They should get a nice humourous sanction from mister dusteh.

It's a good thing that you're totally talking out your wazoo for comedic value, cause I now you'd never actually suggest to anyone that Dusty (or any admin for that matter) take the time out of their already busy day to entertain people like a dancing bear at a Russian circus without real cause just to provide the yukles on demand:P...wait... :unsure:now

The last couple times I held up transports and freighters I either got no replies and proceeded to blow up something or F1'd after I fire a CD at them. Sort of sad because I find being held up to be fun sometimes, arguing with pirates about what they are doing always leads to interesting conversations

I feel bad sometimes having to be hard on traders who get stopped because I am expecting you to flee... meh it happens.

I have found that many of the larger ships tend to do a little better. The small traders tend to be more lulzy but they learn.

I had a great time tonight with a trio of junkers... I am not sure they feel the same way but I RP'd they did too. Was fun.

I actually had some quite good experiences with freighter traders while I was pirating in the taus. They tended to be friendly, open to banter and so cute I had to reverse pirate them.

Some days are good days, some days are not so good days. Most day have a little of each.

Speaking from the trader side, I had an interesting encounter yesterday. A junker essentially asked me for 1 of my VIP's. But he didn't come out and just demand it. He came up with a story about one of my passengers being a Xeno sympathizer. Quite good fun actually.

Now, armed the way he was he probably had no hope of taking me out by himself had he decided to. But the story he gave me kept me off of my guns and on the trade button.

I know, not every trader out there is like me. But don't let the bad ones taint your efforts. I love a good pirate encounter now and then.

Sadly, you can have 10 good encounters and one bad one but it's the bad one we generally remember.

It's not just the traders, sometimes it's the law enforcement as well. So eager to catch you and get their little blue message that they tend to ignore the little things...like the rules for example.
One day I'll learn to get that video capture thingy working.
If I get a piss poor experience that winds me up, I generally walk away from the PC or change game for a couple hours. Especially when they say "Yeah, I did but so what"?

In case your wondering, yes, it has just happened.
