Hmm i understand the point , but i am afraid of spam too. So maybe my propostion of top officers can be reformulated that in skype commlink for instance --->
is allowed to have 2 representatives of every faction in every moment , and one has to be online in game at least.
that rule will permit wide scale commnuication , and still open channel for some organisational purposes.
However i am up for idea , whatever solution you choose.

Although I am not in one of these factions, I can tell you that you only can benefit from this step. We have a Skype chat, where all the faction leaders of Rheinland are in, in order to discuss bigger things concerning Rheinland.
Just do it. It will improve many things.

Already in Keepers / Order chat. Some other key Order players as well. BHG chat, I am not in but I have contacts of some BHG people. Having all of us in the same pot may work. Or may not, best to try and see.

Just leaders and, optionally, those appointed by them that are able to make limited decisions for the factions they represent. All players - no, that would be a mess with uncontrollable spam and off-topic. There is one person, one authoritative voice that represents the Keepers, and that is me. If you make such chat make sure whoever you put in there beside yourself from your faction will not spam and/or lean the chat into off-topic subjects, because the time I'm able to spend around chats is very limited and I'd rather be reading something useful than checking chat occasionally to see random talk I'm not interested in. PvP encounters are not important to me at all, whichever side dies and how many times is irrelevant, I'm interested in having in-game/forum RP collaboration and that's about it.

One for leaders and officers ect, and one just for fun, socialising and spam. Better to be friends with the people you fight, agreed?

You know as well as I do how our regular BHG| chat does get spammed. Hell, even the Moderator chat gets spammed at time <sideways look at Dusty>

Sounds like a good idea to me. The Keepers need a little more involvement with the Order and such, and as I understand, they avoid the BHG and Order because a gank upon the Nomads is basically guaranteeed. This could lead to collaboration between the three, and would lead to not-gank fights with the Keepers and the Order and the BHG
Really good idea, I think.
Although I won't really benefit from it.
