I was honestly sad that he left because of this. ' Wrote:I would like to say that you now officially win at Life, Bacon. Don't you mean that the fact that I had enough time to write this makes me lack a life? Roleplaying - bluntpencil2001 - 10-08-2009 Metagaming is useful too. After all, planned events are effectively metagaming. Nothing wrong with that. Roleplaying - BaconSoda - 10-08-2009 ' Wrote:After all, planned events are effectively metagaming. Nothing wrong with that. This is true, but, usually a backstory is devised to counteract this. Things like: "The Police have received an anonymous tip that stated when the pirate attack would occur." Though, that is quite vague. I know my events had stories to justify what occurred throughout the event. I just kind of assumed everyone else did as well. Roleplaying - nassou - 10-08-2009 Events can be pretty shady RPwise. It seems like every bi-weekly patrol we go on in Omicron Lost, we always run into a fleet of bounty hunters. Luckily, we decided to take a fleet as well as opposed to our usual three or four fighters/bombers. Also, this is a good post. Much better than the stuff that has been dribbled about lately. Roleplaying - johnpeter - 10-08-2009 Thanks bacon! You reduced lag and cleared the server of 1 used spot! Thank you very much! Not that I don't agree with this though... I agree with it 100%. People need to actually think of who they are, xenos might spring air leaks and need to get to their base, xenos won't suddenly discover the location of Elsmere, likewise, the navy isn't going to suddenly find Omicron Alpha. |
