I buzzed up there in my capacity as Administrator.
I must congratulate the OPG on trying to establish some degree of order to what was a beeeeeg fight. Isn't this standard fare for your steenky Hispania expelees? The pleas for me to beam the caps away fell on deaf ears, cause these people weren't doing anything against the rules from what I could see......which says something for how low a standard of role-play exists here. If you march into a huge battle, expect to get caught in the crossfire.
That being said, there was so much blood-letting that it was quite hard to make out who was doing what to whom.
I will say this though. If you are in a fleet of that size, then no one is really a threat to you...so do you
a. sit in silence shooting at anything that moves?
or
b. try role-playing in a way that might make people not want to stab their eyes with pencils ?
Hmm. Seems the outcast and corsair fighters managed greater and more immersive commentary while engaged in a dogfight than virtually everyone else. Better even the Order Osiris I told to fire on the shipyard cause it wasn't firing on him.
Are the Order out to kill the Maltesers? Sheems so. Shtrange indeed.
And to the other Osiris who was stuck in Eta and anxious to join the fray and ended up getting beamed to Malta by yours truly (honestly all you Diego types look the same to me. How I lolled), I have one thing to say:

And this is when I declare the Corsairs a lost cause.
Corsairs attract an insane amount of players. We have a handful of caps, but if you go into Alpha, you'll find fighters, bombers, and a bunch of Gunboats.
We have more gunship players than any other faction. I'd say that Corsairs-Liberty contest for the highest amount of Cruiser+ ships.

As I re-call, corsair caps were ordered to remain at 10k from Malta unless there were Outcast caps launching.
One did from Malta but quickly docked. Another from Valetta.
Infact, when it was clear no Outcast caps were going to un-dock again, they were ordered to withdraw to their original position. Except of course they were harrassed by the smaller Outcast ships (understandably) while doing so and therefore returned fire.
All that said, there were, in the end (or as long as I lasted) too many corsair caps. It makes a change I suppose. Normally it's the other way round (see Monte's ss).
Must try harder though, I agree.
As for a Bloodhound wandering through the middle of it, how niave or were they trying for a sanction?
Lets be honest, for someone to do that and then complain about RP , they really deserve the sanction themselves. Who in their right mind would do it in reality?
Great RP sir, my hat is off to you.
Anyone holding that up as a poor example of corsairs should really take a long look in the mirror.

Make the Corsair Guard ID restrict Cruisers and above to enter Alpha.
That's the only way.

That won't help...Cruisers and above already have to have a Guard ID.

How realistic is it for a small and weak Liberty Rogue fighter fly around an enormous fleet of Corsair capital ships?

I would like to know how you roleplay with an enormous fleet with Corsair capital ships,
when you're alone in a small and weak fighter.
That RP was so bad it couldn't be qualified as proper RP.
