I wanted space miles and feet but i cant find any mods with it:(Kilometers bug me. Ugh. Anything that pretty much does things to effect GAMEPLAY of other people is bannable and falls under that big ol "Harming server gameplay" rule which is vauge enough so that an admin can say that its "harming gameplay"

Welcome to the new world order, where people use measurements that make sense.

Metric ftw.

No, Metric ftl. Its too easy. There's something wrong with it.

Funny part is, Microsuck made FL, why they used faillometers and failmeters I dont know.

ANYWHO, Speed mod is definately a no no, I wouldnt try pretty much any other mod, the cheat system is real sensitive...

I thought we were allowed to use widescreen support mods? Ones that ajust resolution and such. I remember this guy was running FL on a massive TV.

We were but now that the widescreen support is built into the mod there no need for this. There's a post in the tutorial section explaining how to enable it.

As somebody mentioned, you're not meant to use any other mods with discovery but if you modify a couple of sound files this doesn't really matter. However, anything that gives you an advantage over other players is considered cheating and you might be banned.

So next time I get engaged by a Battleship while in a wee fighter they are considered cheating because of their ship advantage over me and I- sorry YOU (rule 3.4 disco server rules), you will ban them :P

Thanks cannon :)

Thanks cannon :)

The problem with the law system in every country is that most trials or law-related conflicts are solved by technical stuff rather than logic, miss one comma and you are doomed...

Widescreen support is built into the 4.85 mod. Just add -dx or -dwidthXheight to your FL shortcut.

if you want something changed (like a ship SKIN or sound files, or weapon/engine effects), you need to PM the admins with your intentions.

In example, I used to do ship skinning. It only changed what a ship looked like. I pmed the admins with my intentions of changing ship skins, I thouroughly explained how I'd do it, and provided a sample of how it'd work out.

After that, its up to the admins to say yay or nay to it.

Changing sounds shouldnt mess with the installation UNLESS you modify the INIs which is always a nono. What you do is you just replace the default music with your music and rename it to match.

that also includes format.

but like I said, if you're changing ANYTHING to the mod itself, whether it be skins or music, you FIRST PM the Admins with your intentions.
